Unfortunately, with all the money Spielberg has made, he had the means to make a good film with an excellent cast. This is not up for debate. Then, patriotism (which I think is overdone beyond any limit, though in a less direct way than others) and prejudice against the director are personal tastes. A movie full of clichés and little criticism.
PS: "Shakespeare in Love" is worth so much beyond the genre it refers to!!
