Cave In Antenna

Yes, yes, "Inspire" and "Anchor" are a force! ... but the style of this band captivates me to the point that I listen to the whole album every time: the experience is always enjoyable if you don't have high expectations. Indeed, "Antenna" is their most conventional work, but if only there were more bands like this!!

UHUHPANICOUHUH I agree with you... but if we start talking about what we've already heard, then we should throw away almost the entire Post-Rock production from Mogwai onwards. For me, the album is worth a 5 for the reasons I listed above. I took the liberty of giving your review a 1 not because I disagree with you about the album (if the review had been good, even if I disagreed with it, I would have given it a high rating), but because you used some definitions about the genre that are not correct, you said nothing about the tracks that make up the album, and you exclusively expressed a personal judgment, describing the work in question with little objectivity. The beauty of music, in general, is that everyone hears a bit of what they want. Regards.

Nothing Post-Hardcore ... and various nonsense.
Bad review.
I consider this, unlike the previous "Red Sparowes" albums, their stroke of genius; each track is a true invention, a unison breath among the various instruments.
Each piece is equipped with meticulous compositional characteristics, and nothing is left to chance.
Intertwined guitar phrases open into complex harmonies and nocturnal atmospheres, the drums are articulated and refined. No track is ever trivial.
For me, one of the best "Post-Rock" albums of the last 10 years ... an album for the few.

I have always liked this little disk!
PS: the "comments" from users above are really disrespectful and harmful to the site; immature and undemocratic attitude.
Porcupine Tree The Incident

I am very disappointed with this album! ... Aside from a few brief moments, the album is incredibly boring and banal: it adds nothing to the already known concepts in the prog scene; the melodies are a poor imitation of beautiful songs from the past (I'm referring to albums like "Stupid Dream" or "In Absentia"), the vocals lack any depth, and the riffs and soundscapes are the same old ones without any further sonic exploration.
In short, it's an album that doesn't shine at all, except for the central song "Time Flies," which, if it had been shorter and without the "Floydian" interlude, could have been a nice hit. But honestly, I expected such a decline.

I like how you found an adjective for every song :) ... I've already listened to some of the new work by Alice in Chains (Black Gives Way to Blue): I would say give it a chance.

In short, can we stop shouting "miracle" for an album that, after all, has nothing revolutionary or brilliant about it?
