Marillion Season's End
Voto:
Nice review, well done. Your particular passion for the band is evident, but you maintain objectivity in reviewing the album. Very well done. As for Season, the album is well-crafted with tracks that elevate it immensely (Space is truly beautiful, it takes its time to develop and isn't in a hurry to reach anyone's commercial heart) and others that are of questionable taste (Hook in You gets skipped entirely when the album plays in my player). Good album nonetheless. The masterpiece of the H. period will come later with Brave and, as far as I'm concerned, with Marbles. From the Fish era, Script for a Jester's Tears is a cult classic. Hi Logic :)
The Young Gods L'eau Rouge

The Young Gods were (?) (are they still around?) an interesting group that fused the sounds of the '70s with modernity and electronics. I don't know the album in question, but I loved TV SKY in its long suites and in gasolineman (very much an industrial Pink Floyd). A really cool band, indeed. :)

Hellooo Hal...if you're referring to "horses in the sky," it's already in my hands :). Can you believe that in my trusted little shop there was only that copy (I call this bucio di ****)? So I haven't been able to listen to it in its entirety, but from the first pieces, I can assure you that it's CRAZY but MAJESTIC...in a word, very Efrim :). Hellooo.
Giardini Di Mirò Rise and Fall of Academic Drifting

An extremely interesting album... in my opinion very much in line with Slowdive and with a touch of GY!BE. The vocals are a bit cloying and reminiscent of Mercury Rev. The album deserves a lot and should be listened to in inner intimacy. I would have dedicated it to those in Italy who think that Italian music stops at Vasco Rossi!! splendid album and excellent review.

Yes, yes, the falling coin definitely intrigues me quite a bit. Would you be able to put some samples? Just to get an idea! Anyway, I've always liked records to listen to properly.
Pink Floyd Animals

One of the albums by Pink that I adore. An absolutely foundational record for all of Waters' subsequent work. Perhaps the alpha of the Watersian epic... the album of no return. EXCELLENT.

Really interesting group... and great review. By the way, can you tell me if these two guys are still around? PS: try listening to the "ophelias dream" as well... they are worth it just like the dead. Ciauz

..."in the emptiness of the Italian music scene" (BUFFY)...the Italian music scene isn't so empty...let's say that the good stuff is under-promoted, too little in favor of more easily accessible music. Italians know what they're doing; you just have to know where to look. Ciauz
David Sylvian Brilliant Trees
Voto:
Sylvian is in a constant search for an almost "ascetic" way, you can feel it in his albums, you can perceive it in his concerts. There's a mantra (I believe that’s the right term) in a limited edition (if I'm not mistaken, it's present in one of his latest compilations... the name escapes me now!!!) that is pure sound and vocal meditation... WONDERFUL. As for Brillant... well... it’s simply fantastic... one of the albums I would take with me to a desert island, and it would be enough to overshadow the world (as long as there’s a power outlet for the HI-FI on the island). The review is divine, and I’m adding it immediately to my favorites.
