Alan Ball Six Feet Under

Hi Kappina, if you can overcome the discomfort of dubbing (maybe watching it in another language, since you know so many!), I think you would really find a lot to enjoy in the great richness of this work. A friend introduced it to me by lending me the complete works during a time when I was convalescing after surgery, years ago. I became hooked in a week... It’s truly a masterpiece for the many themes it touches upon. And for those of us with a bit of a dark soul like us, it’s nectar of the gods... Let me know.

Sorry Socrates, you’re right, my vote/comment is ambiguous, to the point that I don’t even have the exact answer to your question, so I believe it is, indeed, a disappointed vote placed somewhat lightly. By the way, I admit I don't know the work in question. Let’s say I got confused, eehm, I thought it was the last work that almost made me fall asleep at the bloody concert in November 2009. Since that is not the case, I will reserve judgment until I listen to it since I absolutely adore this esquimese -@Deleterio!!:-D. Sorry...

Hello Philosopher, the review is good, as always, but this time I diverge in judgment, unfortunately, and I say unfortunately as a devotee of Master Sakamoto San, who has bored and disappointed me quite a bit after seeing his latest concert in November; it seemed to me that he was just messing with us, so detached, almost bored, with these 4 sounds thrown together, sampled and reproduced with a computer placed on the grand piano, played without passion... I've seen the good Ryuichi before, concerts I remember with emotion years later, but not anymore. Now he's just an exceptional bloated pianist who thinks that thanks to his name he can shove any nonsense down our throats. The experimental music he's doing now was already being made by Brian Eno 30 years ago and David Sylvian 20 years ago... Honestly, I would expect something more, especially if I'm still spending €50 on a ticket for him.

Sorry, the vote for the book started on its own!

I think a bit like our beloved Tamburello; I adore Palahniuk, his sick and fervent genius entertains me. I need to read this, and the review has piqued my interest. Gracias.

Great review for an intriguing proposal. I am definitely biased (I love chanson française and Gainsbourg), but the review is delightful and knowledgeable. Bravo bravo!

Well, I quote post n° 31 from NES, because it’s absurd to think we can judge this film by its story or its morals (which it does have). That's entertainment, Sirs, just entertainment and it's done really well too! And every now and then, that's not a bad thing at all.

Well, there’s irony and there’s irony: I truly find Flo’s amusing, it’s clever and subtle even though it talks about orthopedics, actually because of that... It’s not for everyone, and I feel sorry for those who can’t understand it...
