PVC: you said the magic word: Sea & the Cake. Now I'm sure I'll like it 100%. Thanks.

Loving the Duke unconditionally, I had to collect this chapter of his journey as well. In my opinion, the first work of the Group has many worthy elements, which is why I truly consider it a beautiful album (originally vinyl, then CD - bought specifically like the rest of his discography). I saw them live in a theater here in Milan; I don't recall the venue, but I remember it was a wonderful concert with a very fit Bowie, as beautiful as ever, brimming with charm on stage, with his inseparable gitanes...

PS: I was crazy about Tin Machine, at least I find the first CD to be really very, very beautiful.

What can I say? As many know, I'm a die-hard fan of the good Robert Jones and his complete works. I must say, reading you my dear is a great pleasure; keep it up! I quite like the CD, but it never fully captured me, although I admit it's top-notch compared to his last works from the late 80s to early 90s. I remember that year's tour; on Pallas Athena, the bass from the girl of color smashed the sternum of those in the front rows like me! Such fond memories...

Thank you guys, (Odra: intrusion? you are always welcome!) as soon as I'm in the "home computer" area, I'll sort it out. A hug. PS: I also have all the XTC vinyl!

Very nice review, full of insights. Like everyone else, after reading Tortoise and especially XTC, I am now looking for the reviewed CD, but in my case, alas, the link yields nothing but a terse phrase like "the search returned no results in any document" :-[

@Boy: "The Wave" is a beautiful film that must be seen also because it is different from the others mentioned on the topic; it is inspired by a true story that actually happened, making it much more engaging and compelling. Regarding the fact that certain emotions and feelings are inflated in cinema, I find it quite normal. One example that comes to mind is Kieslowski's Decalogue from 1988 about the 10 commandments and the emotions/actions/gestures and thoughts associated with them. After all, the feeling of revenge is one that anyone experiences at least once in a lifetime. @500Van: I really enjoyed your review, especially with its ironic and somewhat sacrilegious tone given the topic. And my curiosity to see the trilogy (which I already had after seeing the box set for sale for just a few dozen euros) has increased. So, well done! Bye!

Reading it like this, it leaves me quite perplexed... I'll think about it a bit since I also have the flu, come on!
