Oh my, I don’t know if I can handle it, but I would say that given the trust I have in you and in those who have commented so far... How about giving it a try?.....

I admit it, I'm here just for the comments. Both heavy metal and hot chicks are not my thing. But you guys really make me smile, and on this shit day, that's a good thing!! Kisses

Really beautiful album, like all his recent ones. As I already mentioned elsewhere, I'm not very objective because I adore Fabi; I like him in every possible way (every), but the review seems overly enthusiastic to me, in the sense that I don't know if I would define it as one of the best albums of the last 15 years, or maybe I would think it without saying it?? And then, why do you all compare La Promessa to La Cura by Battiato? The latter is filled with a uniqueness of drama that is truly rare and surely unrepeatable, while La Promessa is much "lighter" both in text and melody... I disagree! Anyway, well done! PUNITORE: a friend of mine from Recanati was engaged to him for a while, years ago. I assure you she has always spoken of him as a delightful person... And I imagine she got to know him a bit better than you did.....

Dsalva, I didn't say it's the worst but just that it's the weakest, which is different. A CD can still be beautiful even if it's less convincing than the others, like in this case. Besides, there are two gems like "Right or Wrong" and "50.. dollars affair" (which you don't mention!) that are truly little treasures. For me, JJ hasn't really made any "worst" ones! And for me, the fourth side - empty - at the time was a real moral slap...

From what little you say, it seems that this CD might really interest me; unfortunately, you say very little, indeed. Nevertheless, I think I will take an interest in it because the keywords (pop melodies in contrast with noise sounds, guitar feedback, and sound walls typically shoegaze) pique my curiosity quite a bit. Thanks.

Ooh what a gap!!, ooh what a gap!!, ooooh what a gap!! I know, I know, it's really a gap, if nothing else due to the affection for the site where we talk amiably about music every day. I don’t know the Pixies at all.. I ask for forgiveness and some advice, where should I start? A rather bare review for someone like me who knows nothing about the Pixies!
Michael Haneke La Pianista

Beautiful review with the very interesting analysis and intertwining of film/novel... The film is obviously sick, I would say intentionally, so if the director's intent was to emphasize this aspect of the character Erika, well, he completely succeeded. After all, Haneke's films rarely aren't gut punches.
