Every time someone tells me "Nirvana pop," I rush to listen to their albums for the umpteenth time, and you know what? I can't find even a single element that could remotely suggest pop! Neither in the music (no matter how simple it might be, to be fair, Kurt wasn't exactly a great guitarist) nor in the lyrics (which only superficial people can define as "teenage," precisely because they analyze them with a "teenage" mindset). And in this review, unfortunately, the word pop is repeated like 897 times. Having been slaves to MTV (which, at the time, let’s remember, was still very different from what it is today, just as the musical landscape was very different) did not prejudice the possibility of making good music, and frankly, I've always wondered how one can classify as good music only that which is ultra-technical. One last point: they have nothing to do with the Doors, except perhaps for the charisma of the frontman, although obviously, the myth of Morrison seems destined to elevate over time. One final note: the strength of Nirvana, in my opinion, has always been in that incredible "vocal bomb" at the disposal of the blond guy...

@THinkForYourself: you’re definitely right. But you have to admit (I admit it a bit myself too ;) that the "most liked reviews" don’t always correspond to the actual best ones on this site. I've read some truly remarkable articles that unfortunately don't make it to the top rankings. With this, I'm not questioning the fact that the highly rated ones are excellent reviews; rather, I just think there might be other stuff of higher quality, and in any case, we shouldn’t be too influenced by others' styles... I was saying that it's wrong to read only the most rated reviews because you can learn from the monstrosities as well :D

Just take a look at the artwork. Among the most ridiculous groups in history! As for the review, I think it's wrong for you to read the most voted reviews; everyone has their own writing style, and if this is yours, well, keep it up, really! Maybe just perfecting it a bit ;)

yes yes absolutely, it’s all about personal opinions! my comment wasn’t specifically about your 3, of course I appreciate compliments but even more I enjoy reading sincere comments. simply, before I signed up, I used to read some reviews and it seemed to me that many were giving high ratings to the reviewed albums a bit too casually, to gain more consensus... but I wasn’t referring to you, don’t worry. okay, everything cleared up! ;)
