I hope you don't mean the lyrics, because some of King’s are truly ridiculous and childish. And then Hammett has so much humility, a quality that's not abundant among today's guitarists, quite the opposite! If he has been overrated, it's because he wrote, along with his bandmates, some of the most important pages in the history of metal! And how can an Exodus fan speak poorly of Hammett, who was a bomb in the beginning? I'm getting more and more puzzled.

Great review! I have a couple of news for you: so, it seems that the Atheist have really nailed it this time! Another big news: the Cynic reunion which will probably organize a tour for summer 2007 and, who knows, maybe they will decide to record an album (drooling).

GREAT DIME but... "the second is the great Kerry King" :| are we kidding?! Kerry King is a clown, he's definitely among the most clueless and empty guitarists in the thrash world, in Slayer I think he's even surpassed by Hanneman (who at least composed the immortal riff of South of Heaven) and he has himself declared that in solos he tries to move his fingers randomly as fast as possible! And anyway... where do you place Dave Mustaine, Alex Skolnick, Kirk Hammett, Gary Holt, Marty Friedman?? Come on, let's be serious!

Yes, if you don't have it, get it right away. Seriously! You can't call yourself a thrasher if you don't own it! :)

Well, a review a bit too self-indulgent, and also a bit showy that in the end says a lot about the feelings you experienced while listening to the album but very little about what the latest work by Opeth actually encompasses. If there were a prize for the most poetic review, you would have won :) no really, from this point of view it’s a great review. Then I don't agree with the rating: 5? And what do Morningrise, Blackwater Park, and Damnation worth then? Isolation Years anyway seems to be the favorite track of Mr. Akerfeldt.

Bonded by blood stands out above all! It's a must!

Beautiful review... the high point is "lycanthropic voice of John Tardy" :)

ah... with the mention of "Top of the Pops", of "you can hear a sound like never before" and the list "with the [...] song [...]", we've really hit rock bottom, huh. Bonzo must be turning in his grave, knowing he performed mini solos and played "very slow, almost imperceptible rhythms" (why? if the rhythm is slow, can't you hear it??? :| ). AND PAGE, with that kilt of his... HONOR TO LZ AND DISHONOR TO THOSE WHO PERPETRATE THESE ABOMINATIONS.
