But then did they tell you why they banned you, Justy? The article is gone but is not forgotten, is this the story of pepsiforever?

I don't think it's accurate even in the tracks. Honestly, I've never heard "Ice Cream Man" by Jeff Beck; maybe it's referring to "Ice Cream Cakes" from the 1972 album. Anyway, I mentioned it precisely because it seemed quite gaudy and published twenty years apart. Mystery.

Of course Jeff never really learns, with Jimmy Page still active at the time he dared to play all this amazing stuff without even having released it in the studio yet.

Don’t take it the wrong way, but you can’t just start a new line after every sentence you finish. It feels like taking a car ride with someone who doesn’t know how to use the clutch.

Are you sure it's from 1971? "Definitely Maybe" is on "Jeff Beck Group" from 1972, "She's A Woman" on "Blow By Blow" from 1975, and "Goodbye Pork Pie Hat" on "Wired" from 1976. It's likely that he was playing the covers for a while, but I think it’s hard to believe he was already playing "Definitely Maybe" (where Jeff's guitar cries, good luck to THE punisher) back in '71. I don't have the record, but the packaging looks pretty cheesy. Luckily, not long after, Jeff Beck will realize that he doesn’t need singers with those hands he has.
