To be honest, Hendrix's version is exactly the same (opening riff, central riff, lyrics, chords, and even tuning) as Billy Roberts' version from 1962, solos aside, of course (if you want to listen to it, I can send it to you via email). Anyway, I agree about Arthur Love. Hendrix absorbed and metabolized the music around him and reworked it in a completely personal way. The influence of the Beatles shouldn’t be underestimated either; after Sgt. Pepper, Hendrix had begun recording his solos at different speeds and also in different directions. He was in constant evolution, as evidenced by the most boffo-zingo memory Paul McCartney has of him:

Beautiful little disc. However, the version of "Mediterranean Sundance" on Friday Night in San Francisco is something indescribable, compared to this studio version.

Hey Joe, "nurse," to be banned you have to be dangerous, and you're as harmless as a non-alcoholic beer. The scene with your brothers telling you to chill is classic. But don't you hear voices at all? Because if you do, your position changes; you wouldn't be a fake in every sense. Come on, let’s talk about Jimi Hendrix; I’ll start: can you believe he was so unknown at Monterey that the Byrds played their version of "Hey Joe" the day before, which was based on the cover by the Leaves?

Let's all take a moment for some self-reflection on this story, so that it never happens again that someone suspects another user of crimes they never committed. We must move away from our punitive stances and shift towards those that guarantee rights, which would make our site more democratic, and perhaps presidential. However, one doubt still remains unresolved: is it better to have it longer than other users', or to always have it as tough as the pantegana?

I believe I'm speaking for everyone when I say this is the most beautiful comment ever posted on DeBaser. I especially like the part where you say "Perchè dobbiamo spiegare alla de-gente i cazzi nostri," right after 12 lines about the story of your/our life.

no tele, I don't give a fuck about other people's thoughts, the problem is that I approached this record without the tools to evaluate it, for now there is no judgment. I need a few more years of listening to jazz.

Your style is very familiar. I won't comment on the album to avoid blasphemy.

Hey Joe, where are you goin' to? You see, once upon a time, when I was young, and until quite recently as well, I had much more crude and silly fun, and sometimes I won’t hide it, I’d let myself get carried away like an idiot, because deep down I never really knew who I was facing (and because deep down I am an idiot, this must be admitted). But now things have changed, and the fun has increased, and this is just the beginning. Of course, you won’t have the vulgar display of power, the important thing is that you understand that I know, and Nothing Else Matters. But Joe Polpetta, you didn’t do well(3), be sportsmanlike, admit it. NOTE: 1. cited Giacomo Poretti; 2. cited Metallica, yeah; 3. for now, be content with having (re)brought this page back among the warm ones. With affection, TESTINA

Come on, now that you know that I know how to not play the fool. To be honest, the most you can do is take this page among the warm ones, which would definitely be a great idea. See you tomorrow.

Hey Joe, be careful with what you write. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the original, and you know it, but you have too many little brothers; some turn out well, others less so. Still better than those who create them just to give themselves a 5, obviously. Maybe the moment of Joe Polpetta was just this, or not?
