Sure, this Wikipedia is used, isn't it? :D Anyway, nice review, nothing to do with the Paloz one.

Does anyone know if by any chance Watermelon in Easter Hay makes any reference to, is inspired by, or is in some way connected to Maggot Brain by Funkadelic? Because the structural similarity is incredible.

However, you see that you translated incorrectly, because on Wikipedia it says this: "The title track is an instrumental featuring Cream bassist Jack Bruce and drummer Jim Gordon." Which means that the title track is an instrumental with former Cream member Jack Bruce on bass and Jim Gordon on drums. Instead, you translated it poorly and wrote that "in this track, as well as in two or three previous ones (????????), we encounter superb guitar solos, and guest stars, namely the bassist and drummer of Cream (Jack Bruce and Jim Gordon)." You simply made a mistake in the translation; let's say that you would barely pass in an English assignment.

Look what I found:
"Don't Eat the Yellow Snow" tells of a dream the singer had where he saw himself as an eskimo named Nanook. A fur trapper comes up from behind Nanook's igloo and begins to assault a baby seal. Nanook responds by rubbing yellow snow (or rather, snow which had been urinated on by huskies) in his eyes, blinding him.

14 lines of your review are copied from a website. It doesn't seem very heartfelt. Regards

Someone who doesn't know Zappa won't learn anything from reading your reviews, that's the point. And trying to be as constructive as possible, your reviews seem like the essays of a 4th grader: introduction, body, conclusion. This is the album, these are the songs, basically it's nice. You could try to say more, like placing the albums you review in the musical landscape (and there would be plenty to discuss about each Zappa album), the feelings, whatever you want. All the information you provide in your reviews can be found in any discography that shows the release year, title, cover, and tracklist of any album. And it's not that people are snobby; the truth is that it's really painful to read these reviews.

Is the drummer of Cream Jim Gordon? Damn, I thought it was Ginger Baker.

Now it's time for you to stop with these shit reviews. I'm serious about this. I say this because the review is garbage if it weren’t for the initial story, copied word for word from the English version of Wikipedia, except for the parts you couldn’t translate (here's the link: Joe's Garage - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The rest that isn’t copied consists of the usual useless phrases that you could attribute to any album, and I mean any:
"I conclude by apologizing for not having talked excessively about an album that could easily fill more than a page, but I add that it absolutely cannot be missed by all lovers of PINCO PALLINO, and it may also interest those who aren’t exactly fans" etc. etc.
Now I honestly don’t understand the usefulness of reviews like this. In fact, you know what I think? I don’t even think you've listened to this album; you’re speaking about things you’ve read here and there, and you only listened to the songs that were labeled as the best. My impression, reading all the reviews you’re churning out, is that you're someone who goes to Scaruffi, downloads the list of the most important rock albums, and starts reviewing them to show that you know music and how (see the mess on "The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" and "In The Court Of The Crimson King"). Damn, review what you actually like, even if it’s Ligabue or the Take That. I’d prefer a well-written review on Ligabue, who I don’t like but tastes are tastes, rather than half-hearted reviews written just to say that I’m reviewing Zappa or King Crimson when I might not have even listened to the albums in question. Said by someone who has been preparing three reviews for two months :D

A pretty face may last a year or two
But pretty soon they'll see what you can do
The sound you make is muzak to my ears
You must have learned something in all those years
Ah, how do you sleep?
Ah, how do you sleep at night?

Prefacing that this review already existed (and was done better), it seems to me that on a triple album there could have been a bit more said. The only thing known about the tracks is that during "Dazed and Confused" there are quotes from older groups, which instead should be attributed to "Whole Lotta Love." During "Dazed and Confused," "The Crunge" is included in its instrumental version. Perhaps it could have been mentioned that both "The Crunge" and "The Ocean" had not yet been released at the time, and maybe one could also ask why Page cited Bach in the solo of "Heartbreaker." Oh well.
