The character Manson was created for one reason only. They carefully crafted a character so extreme that everyone had to take a clear stance against him, even the Pope. Something Britney Spears was unable to do. In short, it doesn't matter whether people talk positively or negatively about him, as long as they talk about him. I find it rather indifferent; musically he had nothing to say, and in fact, he didn't say it.
