Anyway, the review is well done.

All true, but I saw them in Florence in '95 and I was 16... 2 drum kits, all Thrak + Discipline + Beat... I have tears in my eyes, how can I agree with you?!

It just took a little... anyway, congratulations for having "unearthed" this elusive record (Columbia/Sony) and "snatched from the depths of oblivion" this obscure band. mmah

discone. really beautiful. I really liked the part of the review about the "ambient" music. I didn't quite understand the discussion about the crescendo from the early albums... to be honest, I've never heard Labirynth, but I have the first four albums (thanks, dad), and Elastic Rock is wonderful to me. It's not that I don't like Allan Holdsworth, but I'm fond of the 'classic' lineup with Spedding on guitar and, above all, Marshall on drums and Jenkins on oboe.

Thanks for the tip on YouTube (Apache Dropout...ahhh, the heart!!!)
Sorry for the unhappy comment, it was just a momentary outburst...nothing to say about the Blue Cheer review (quite the opposite.....even a decent album, 'out of focus' and 'second time around' are great tracks, 'Parchment Farm'...), I was just struck by the endless series of "cards" from the super fans!!! de gustibus...
Anyway, EDGAR BROUGHTON BAND IS AMAZING!!!!!! Much more 'Beefheart' than many of Captain's albums.

Someone finally remembered this album... actually, Wasa-Wasa might be their best, the richest in ideas... but it's a hell of an album!!! It probably deserved more than just a couple of scant comments... for crying out loud, compared to the review of Vincebus Eruptum by Blue Cheer, it looks like the tomb of Jim Morrison! (no offense, in my opinion, the best thing about that album remains the cover....)
Great review, even better album.

what a wonderful record...Byrne is spine-chilling, almost all the songs are at the same (very high) level. I would dare to say...AT LEAST on the same plane as "77", with a really cool cover. Urban anguish still "teenage" (...what the hell did I just say??!!!), still far from "Fear of Music" and "Remain in Light". Well done Hobbit, congratulations on the choice!!
