I haven't listened to this yet. Anyway, I've always found them to be a band with very high potential that has never been fully exploited: too much inconsistency in their albums, where real hits (Death Blooms is one of my all-time favorite metal songs) are mixed with mediocre little tunes typical of a second-rate nu metal band (sometimes even third-rate, just think of the painfully simplistic Happy?). If they had made more concise albums, if they had been more selective instead of stuffing their records with filler songs from hormone-fueled teenagers, they could have been a great band…

Look who we have here! At least this time you've reviewed a respectable group, 3 as encouragement. Let's just hope that in the coming days you don't subject us to pseudo-writings about Britney, Tiziano Ferro, Gemelli Diversi, etc., as you have in the past...

Really beautiful review. Fortunately, I noticed it before it disappeared from the homepage, considering it's already "old" by three days. Anyway, I liked it a lot. I know very little about Sommerville, something about Bronski Beat and of course "Don't Leave Me This Way," but that little I've heard didn't excite me much. Maybe it's because I'm overall not a big fan of 80s pop. Of "Don't Leave Me This Way," I prefer the original.

I’ve never been able to see it; it’s the classic movie that airs late at night, and you always realize the next day that you missed it. Hopefully one day... Beautiful review, it has actually increased my curiosity. Great.

I wait to hear it before judging (I don't think that all the 1s present here have come from attentive listening).

A beautiful day except for when the Gossip played: monotonous, always the same two or three chords, always the same pseudofunky rhythm, and above all, a disgraceful singer, not so much for her voice (decent, I admit), but more for her attitude: unpleasant, unnecessarily arrogant. The shirt worn by Ben Harper was much more irreverent than his entire useless performance. I didn't like them; they're a band for Festivalbar or Wind Music Awards, they had nothing to do with the rest. Anyway, I don't even agree with what's written about Pearl Jam: while seeing them was great and they are a big band regardless, to be precise, it wasn't an impeccable performance: Vedder was a bit tipsy, he messed up the intro and the lyrics of MFC and those of Alive, everyone made a mistake on Jeremy, and a few other inaccuracies. In short, details that don't compromise the emotional level but that can't be overlooked just because you are biased and then shout "miracle." McCready, a great guitarist? Definitely skilled, very functional to the band, but not superb as the reviewer claims. Like everyone else in PJ, perhaps except for Matt Cameron, who I’ve always found somewhat wasted in PJ. What matters is the music, and they know how to do that brilliantly. The Skunk Anansie were great too: the tones softened when they played their latest pieces, which were certainly dignified but not as valid as those from their golden days, but when they pulled out the gems from the three historic albums, alongside the unmissable hits like "Hedonism" and "Secretly," they truly moved the audience. Ben Harper was also excellent, an artist not among my favorites but one I have always respected, and he proved his worth on stage.

Nice review. I really like him as a guitarist; I've always found him eclectic and ahead of his time. However, in terms of May's solo work, I only know, not surprisingly, Too Much Love Can Kill You.

Well, I really love it a lot, but I'm short on cash! If only I could go to all the concerts I want to go to...
