Kyuss Welcome To Sky Valley
Voto:
The album is undoubtedly beautiful, a small masterpiece because for me their great masterpiece is Blues For The Red Sun: it’s the one that invented stoner, it’s the one that created the blend of garage, metal, and psychedelia that made Kyuss one of the greatest institutions of rock. The review seems a bit too over the top, sorry, but if someone decides to write a review, it should be, not to say professional, but objective even when talking about their favorite artists! Saying that someone who doesn’t like Welcome To Sky Valley is a jerk is an exaggeration...
Slayer Christ Illusion

Maybe you forget one detail: do you know that Slayer has been playing for almost 25 years and were the founders of thrash?! You expect them to still be fresh like they once were and to churn out masterpieces like Reign In Blood, which is humanly impossible. Sure, it’s true that Christ Illusion isn’t a great masterpiece nor does it add anything to their discography, but I found it to be a fairly good album with some really great tracks. As for the lyrics, Slayer has always talked about serial killers, murders, and their decidedly anti-religious stance... they’re certainly not going to stop now! And let's be honest, if all of a sudden they stopped being transgressive and started singing, I don’t know, about emotions and sentimental crap just to give an example, who would listen to them? Not me, and neither would you. At least they have the merit of always staying true to themselves, for better or worse. Or do you want to see them sold out and soft like Metallica?!
