Great review, beautiful album. However, "..."River of Deceit", which looks back to the acoustic Led Zeppelin, while speaking of 70s influences, it’s certainly space rock that is honored in "November Hotel". The best track is perhaps "Long Gone Day", which has a phrase a bit borrowed from Cilìa. Everyone has their opinions: for me, Cobain was great, Layne too, and Cantrell as well (not to mention trivial arrangements; "Would?" for example has nothing trivial about it, and Cantrell wrote it, like many others). Scott Weiland was/is a phony to me, even though I must admit I don’t mind Core.

I saw them in Jesolo and they were amazing. Same setlist, same staging, and there were the Mastodon too, who I didn’t dislike at all, but they were penalized by the sound system. Maynard lost a bit of his voice in the last songs, but what can I say. Wonder. Even better than this summer in Bologna.

It's not my favorite by The Police. I agree with the assessment, however from what you've written it seems that I should give it at least a 4. Anyway, great review.

I agree with some and with you, DaveJon: you’ve done better, let me say that. The comparison with Gigi D'Alessio is pointless. But did you really listen to him? The concert, however, is of indescribable beauty.

Nice review. Great album.
David Gilmour On An Island

I wasn't overly excited about this album. Yes, I’m probably a watersiano. The guitar is unmistakable, as are the atmospheres, but maybe that's not everything. Gilmour is definitely one of my favorite guitarists and I care for him a lot, but I have to admit that as a solo artist he has never been exceptional. In contrast to Waters, who has always had his flashes of genius.

On the contrary. I believe that Scaruffi is a contrarian. What you've shown yourself to be is shooting down things like these: "rock, not the usual crap that gets passed on this site of recommended communists."

But do me a favor, Piero Scaruffi spoke. I criticize whatever the hell I want. Just like on this site, there are people who speak poorly of Mellon Collie and Radiohead, people who speak highly of Linkin Park, people who review Luca Dirisio and Checco Zalone, people like you who attack reviewers just for the sake of contradiction simply because they say something similar to what the critics have said, I can afford to say that in my opinion Fu Manchu is a good band but not transcendent. It's my opinion; if you agree, great. If not, I'm also willing to accept criticism, as long as it's respectful and constructive. You see no resemblance between Kyuss and Fu Manchu, I see no resemblance at all between Fu Manchu and Blue Oyster Cult. All respectable points of view. What’s the need to offend?!

Dots, you don't understand a damn thing! Seriously, not a single thing, man! I haven’t copied anything, and by the way, listen to The Warning from the self-titled album by Black Sabbath: there’s a passage from Strato-Steak that clearly resembles part of this song. Maybe it’s you who don’t know Black Sabbath to say that Fu Manchu have nothing in common. Chupacabra, don’t joke around: I can say whatever the hell I want, and I'm completely free to say that in my opinion, Kyuss did this genre better. I like Fu Manchu, but Kyuss were far superior. How the hell do I need to explain this to you?! In ancient Aramaic?!
