I can't stand this woman, both as an artist and as a persona.

Unfortunately, I miss this; I never managed to download it or get someone to download it for me. Review nonetheless excellent.

Super review as usual, donjuniano. However, I am not a lover of the genre and the group, to whom I still have a lot of respect. Welcome back, Arnold.

I agree, I too have faced criticism for listening to (more or less) serious music and playing it, which I didn't take so peacefully. But as long as we live and let live... It doesn't make any difference to me if this guy and that guy listen to house music, dress for weddings, and can't tell a guitar from a bass; in fact, we can even be friends because one is never friends just for common interests. The troubles arise when one curls up in their own world without accepting others, even going after them and criticizing them. I understand your frustration; you’re probably exasperated by this situation, but as annoying as it is for a dude to criticize you for having less trivial interests than his, it can be just as irritating to target people for having more trivial interests than your own. I don't like hearing clubgoers say, "what a loser, why the hell does he play?! He should go get laid and buy a nice car instead of a guitar...". But I also don't particularly enjoy hearing musicians say, "what a loser that clubbing jerk is, down with disco pogo, etc."

I'd say it's rather arbitrary and conventional. This music is undoubtedly rubbish, but I now find that arguments like "people who go to clubs are pretentious, and pretentious people are abominable subhumans and degenerates" seem a bit dull and adolescent. Those who mind their own business tend to live a long life, so just keep listening to the music you prefer and maybe review that. I say this because I've had and still have friends who go clubbing and are not music connoisseurs; I might not be able to talk about music with them in the way I like, but in the end, I don't consider them trash just because they go to the villa instead of the independent scene. In fact, a few weeks ago, I went to a beer festival to see a Metallica cover band: they were very good, but at one point the singer made a sarcastic joke about a DJ who would be playing (or mixing, as you prefer) the next night, and a horde of metal kids in front of the stage responded with "boo" and insulting chants directed, of course, at the DJ. I found it rather sad and pathetic.

Great group, one of the best and most influential rock bands of the last twenty years. As for the review, I’m not very convinced by this statement: "Now, the CD in question is very different from other grunge works: goosebump-inducing atmospheres, emotions never felt before; dark and touching songs that leave a strong sense of melancholy and many other sensations that they knew how to express like no one else." Nevermind and Ten are already distinct works from each other. The beauty of grunge lies precisely in its heterogeneity. Personally, I don’t find certain works by Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Screaming Trees, and others any less intense than this one.

The quality of the album is inversely proportional to that of the review. Therefore, a grand album, a horrendous review.
