I'm not crazy about 80s hard rock either: I never liked Van Halen, and even Satriani, while technically admirable, wears me out after a while. I've listened to their first album, and it's definitely not my style, to put it mildly. However, blaming these guys for mimicking the masters is a bit of an exaggeration: they themselves are masters! Whether we like their music or not is another matter, but they are among the originals; they're not Airbourne, who, if they could be reborn, would definitely choose to be AC/DC, or Wolfmother, who, as good and enjoyable as they are, certainly aren’t original! These albums are more like nostalgia trips, tributes to a period that, whether we like it or not, they all more or less actively participated in and contributed to.

I quote Hetzer, I also preferred other cartoons to this one because of my natural aversion to mathematics... However, affection compels me to give it a 4! Great review.

"a hymn to Nazism and the panzer that in the last century liberated us from that pile of stinking peasants and communist thieves who never shut up": I really hope you weren't aware when you wrote this colossal bullshit, otherwise, my friend, set yourself on fire!

And, with all due respect for the Pooh, whom I do not wish to detract from, before stating that they are the best Italian band of all time, one should get to know Italian music a bit better.

Of course, you’re making me lose the desire to listen to it :-) But hey, if this is the truth, we have to face it. I think I’ll buy the original anyway...

Since I've seen it on the homepage, I'll take the opportunity to vote for it: simply a 5, the most original album in Italian prog, in my opinion. And in my opinion, the vocal parts are fantastic! Of course, they're not immediately accessible, mainly because the voice is used in a virtuoso way, as an instrument rather than a melodic complement. One of those albums I love from the first to the last note and whose (alleged) flaws I also cherish. A textbook example with "Primo Incontro," and the unsettling and spectral ending of "Terzo Incontro" gives me chills. A 5 for life!
The Who My Generation - The Very Best Of The Who

You said it well: "if you like the rock'n'roll of the Seventies"... But what if someone also likes the rock'n'roll of the Sixties? Great band, The Who, light-years ahead especially in the 60s. It's obviously a matter of taste: some prefer them in their beat period, while others favor the "rock opera" phase, and some love them always... However, The Who have never been naive: My Generation may seem outdated now, but when it was released, it was one of the hardest, loudest, and most unconventional things ever heard.

I came to debaser to see if there was any news (if it has already been posted, I missed it) about the new album; I’m happy to see that there’s someone like me caught up in full Addiction-mania! Great album, an essential band. I actually like it just a tad more than Ritual, which is beautiful too. The Ocean, Ted Just Admit It, and Summertime Rolls would be enough to secure their place in rock history!
