@battle...what we told you is that London Calling is more of a mixed album...it's not punk...in fact, punk is present in limited quantities...feel free to prefer the Ramones...but don’t say they are more mature...if I say they better represent punk it’s mainly because they are rough...musically empty...even banal...in their early lyrics almost childlike...just tossed there to find a job for the singer...then of course...they changed in the 80s...but at the beginning they were as we described them...

Listen… I'm saying this as a fan… and please don’t take it the wrong way… in my opinion, you've only listened to this from Aerosmith… it's nice, right… but Pump and the ‘70s are on another planet… you praise the more commercial songs like Rag Doll and Dude Looks like a Lady… the first one is nice… but the second one, in my opinion, is too carefree… a nice pop song… but just for dancing… then is Magic Touch glam? Sure… there's a bit of it… but it’s definitely the roughest one… glam is something else… Girls keep coming Apart wild hard rock? That's a poorly made copy of Dude… I recommend you listen to all the albums from the ‘70s up to Night in the Ruts… those are the real Aerosmith… drugged… dirty… alcoholics… raw… and womanizers… but fucking rock 'n' roll… listen to Rocks and Toys in the Attic… you’ll see that after Permanent Vacation it will just be a memory…

@battle...London Calling, in my opinion, is no longer a punk album in the strict sense...not like the early ones, to be clear...the openness to other genres started with that record...and I don't think Bonny said he doesn't like the Ramones...he gave the album a 4...I just want to say that if the Ramones are the most representative band, the Clash are one of the most innovative...I only like the Pistols without Vicious...he, in my opinion, was an idiot...he didn't play...he didn’t write...he was good for nothing...a charlatan who is now idolized as the creator of punk...Matlock was kicked out because, being able to play the bass, he couldn't be a Pistols...but who set the rhythm of Anarchy in the UK?

Hi Bonny... I agree about the Clash being my favorite punk band too... but in my opinion, the Ramones represented it better... hyper-simple chords... goofballs to the core... bear-like voice... the Clash, on the other hand, were more intellectual... just look at how they turned out... the Ramones weren’t interested in innovation at all...

@Ole...I agree with you...the 4 that I gave to the reviewer is mainly for the effort put into the review...then in my opinion, everyone has their own style...I used to do track by track at the beginning...now I wouldn't write reviews like that anymore...another thing...I think Debaser is not a strictly professional site...one can also use different ways of reviewing and instead of doing a review with the classic criteria of the model review, they can vary...like I think I do and many others...

@surfer... I said exactly what you replied... that I think it's stupid to lock oneself into a category and exaggerate everything... @battle... I understand... however, even though I have friends who like to categorize themselves as "metalheads," I stand by my ideas... I'm glad to see that you're not playing the part of the "there's only metal" crowd...

@Battlegods... I also like listening to metal... but frankly, I can’t stand those who walk around dressed as true metallers, acting tough and pure... then you find out they listen to metal just because "it's cool music"..."it rocks"... and they don’t care to understand the lyrics.... they have to despise everything that isn't metal... they have to beat up someone who listens to punk because "they haven't understood anything about life"... in fact, Manowar are one of the bands that annoys me... and what I'm telling you, I've seen many times in my experience... how many brawls between club-goers and "true metallers" or between "true metallers" and punks... why can’t one live how they want... listening to everything without closing themselves off in a genre? Why?

Look supersoul... you are someone who is well-versed in music... definitely more than me about punk... and you have your ideas... I have mine... in the previous comment I wanted to say that there have already been enough discussions about what is true and false punk, and in my opinion it would be pointless to go on... I think punk is an opinion... something we feel inside... maybe even a provocation... I just wanted to say that it didn't only exist in the 70s... but also afterwards and perhaps even before...
