Lou Reed Ecstasy

Well, I didn't like this rece: first of all, it's exaggerated and over the top, and then it contains statements that, with all due respect, are quite irrelevant (especially the one about the "new" groups).

The first one is really beautiful, I haven't heard the others, I admit that because of the cover I can't bring myself to try the bachelor. Too hideous.
Bob Dylan Highway 61 Revisited

This is definitely a great album, Queen Jane Approximately and Ballad of a Thin Man are the best in my opinion. However, I personally prefer, and quite a lot, albums from the exclusively folk period like The Freewheelin' and The Times They Are A-Changin'.

Anyway, it's worth mentioning that Neurosis are quite the chatterboxes, huh? XD

Thank you for the Albanian :-) Anyway, great concert, Ufomammut were amazing. Neurosis, well, you know. Through Silver in Blood pure ecstasy. I would say terrifying. The hilarious moment of the evening was seeing, for me and Trommel, two heavyweights dressed in black appearing in front of us at the beginning of Via Cigna, accompanied by a guy in a light shirt, sunglasses, and a bald head. Absolutely fantastic.

Stoney's controversy seems utterly baseless to me; I certainly don't go crazy for the Verdena, but attacking them on the "lyrics" front clearly shows a lack of understanding of the subject being discussed, given that they themselves (the Verdena) have always stated that words are only meant to add another shade to the music and not to convey any particular message. And thinking about it, it's even better this way, I mean, making nonsensical lyrics rather than stating clichés. In music (especially in rock), "to say" means to play; the lyrics can be important depending on which band you're talking about, but that's not the rule. This album is beautiful anyway, all absolutely already heard, but really great songs.
Morbid Angel Illud Divinum Insanus

I listened to it out of curiosity and I agree with the meme. I mean, these are among the cornerstones of the genre (which, to be honest, I don’t know much about), they’ve been musicians for years, they probably have unlimited knowledge of the scene, it seems strange to me that they would make an album like this without realizing the impact it will have on the audience (which is absolutely niche, by the way). If they were a group of idiots on their first album, I would say without a doubt that it's crap. But they are Morbid Angel. The idea that this could be an attempt to break through commercially doesn’t even hold water, because it’s, objectively, impossible with this album. It’s not just that they made a bad death metal record and that’s the end of it. This stuff is something else. It seems like everything aligns: grammatically incorrect title (never studied Latin, but I trust you), funny song names, ridiculous lyrics, horrifying musical parts. I tend to believe there is some sort of underlying "conceptual" "message." Sorry for the rambling xD
Joe Lally Why Should I Get Used To It
Voto:
Seen in Saluzzo, one of the most "surreal" concerts I've ever attended. When I arrived at the venue, there were 5 people outside, no one inside except the managers who were still getting ready to open the "gates." A snippet of conversation among these 5 guys: <<So is there an entrance fee tonight? Yes, Joe Lally is playing>> <<And who is that?>> <<Dunno, some guy who plays bass>> another one: <<Yeah, he’s the bassist for the Red Hot>> <<What the hell are you talking about? That’s Flea>> <<Well, he used to play in the Red Hot, now he's solo>>... anyway, it was a beautiful concert, the best bassist I’ve seen live, great sounds, great tracks, only slightly hindered by a voice that I honestly find unnecessary. The last song was called Motora or something like that, and it was the one that impressed me the most.
Destroyer Kaputt

I had listened to Destroyer's Rubies by this guy, definitely interesting, but at times I find it too pompous and excessive. Maybe I'll give this album a try.

Hey lost, look, when I say overrated, I'm not talking at all about mainstream, rather about the consideration they have within the "indie" crowd, even in Italy, yes. For me, they are a nice band, but nothing to tear your hair out over, songs for when you're in the mood for a bit of melancholy :-)
