Louis-Ferdinand Céline Viaggio al Termine Della Notte

@azzo...I don't really love places like fnac or feltrinelli either...but unfortunately, they are the least exploited spots to find something...and now they’re starting to feel quite tight for me...regarding optimism, I might be inconsistent...in the sense that I agree with you...I know what a book by Céline is like...having read "From a Castle to Another"...and I find you are right to tell me it can be dangerous for my ideology...I believe that if I were your age and had to talk about Céline to a seventeen-year-old, I probably wouldn't recommend it to them either...however (and mind you, I don’t want to self-promote:), I think I’m already seasoned enough for certain more challenging readings...I read "The Catcher in the Rye" just last year...I really liked it...but I felt the same sensation you described...and I was 16...which should be the right age...maybe it just depends on the fact that I had just come from "The Drunken Boat" by Rimbaud...I don't know...in conclusion, I believe I'm very ready for a reading like "Journey to the End of the Night"...even though for now I'll wait...since money is tight and I'm reading "Junky" by Burroughs...

@terry...look, I live in a really lame town in the province of Cuneo...to find anything, I have to take the bus...travel forty km to go to Turin or 14 km to get to Saluzzo...where there’s now nothing at all :) I know what that means...@azzo...well...I’m aware that from my comments, one might think I’m optimistic...but that’s not really the case...ever since I was a child, I’ve always worried teachers and parents with my ideas :)...then I realize that it can be somewhat dangerous...but anyway, I would read it sooner or later...and since I’m really into Céline these days...

Thank you, Franci... unfortunately around me, aside from Feltrinelli and the Fnac bookstore, there isn't much else... and at Fnac it costs more than €20... have you already read "da un castello all'altro"?

I share Bartle's opinion...reading Fidia's reviews, I don't think dinosaurs are his group...

Yes, I know Alessio... I've only read Céline's work... but it really struck me... I've never seen such a delirious prose... I love memories... and when told by Céline, I love them even more :)... anyway, now I want to look for this "Journey to the End of the Night"... would you recommend it to me?

A truly dreamlike and acid album that’s frightening... a cornerstone of the world underground... only swallow relaxes me better than a little joint...

I didn't really like the fact that you wanted to imitate Cèline... some passages are good anyway... I read from one castle to another... something indescribable that I would like to review... at first, I didn't understand anything... but I liked it... then I realized that it was the not understanding anything that I liked... dear Luigi Ferdinando is the only writer I know who gives voice to my mind... literally shattered prose... disjointed episodes... this is what I seek in books... exactly this...
