Ale sent me the album too... I liked it... it's raw and totally out there, and that can only be a plus... regarding the voice... when I had only heard it on the Myspace songs, it seemed a bit too much trying to get that Kurt sound... then either I've changed or the singer has changed... the fact is that now I like it and I find it fits well with the rest... I can't always grasp what some lyrics are saying... to be honest, "Papillon" (the lyrics) seems a bit clichéd even though it's truthful... "Follissimo" on the other hand is about "Le api a opi"... with its sickly everydayness... or "La prossima è qui" and "Cesare ti voglio bene"... am I wrong or is it a tribute to Pavese? :) ... right, Ale? :D:D

I didn't like the review at all... Finnegan is right... this book isn't just a pile of random cut-up sheets... but it does follow some kind of order... in the end, the plot isn't really that non-existent... damn... Burroughs wasn't just a drugged-up idiot... he had a brilliant mind... absolutely a genius... the book can almost be taken as a detailed account of his journey... something that Cronenberg probably understood (even though I didn't like the film)... damn... there were so many things to say...

My favorite book along with Huxley’s Brave New World... the delirium of a junkie who finds himself in Morocco after killing his wife in an attempt to emulate William Tell... it was love at first sight... Lee... A.J.... the bifo... but most of all him... the one who extracts tumors with his teeth... Dr. Benway... my favorite literary character for now... Burroughs is a western outlaw who found himself in modern times... and absolutely maladjusted... a personality completely out there... in everything he tried, he always managed to reach the extreme side... absolutely a great!

"Goodist" in the sense that it can also be read that way... I didn't mean to say that I think it's goodist... I wanted to add that the film also addresses the theme of reintegration into the world of an elderly person... After all, Walt I think can represent a great part of elderly people who... after a life of work... wars and everything else... do not accept that their bodies have changed and refuse to belong to a world that is no longer theirs...

@kant... paternal protection and sacrifice are, in my opinion, themes that often make Hollywood movies work... you know, I Am Legend? Just to give you an example... obviously, here we are facing something much deeper... this is what I meant... I also really liked the film... even though, precisely because of its lack of originality, I don't consider it a masterpiece...

so... I don't know these guys at all... but hearing that dinosaur jr. are a bunch of idiots really irritates me... now, I don't want to stir up any controversies about grunge... but maybe without dinosaur jr. these feeder guys wouldn't even exist... listen to certain things... and keep in mind that there aren't many creative geniuses like j mascis and lou barlow out there...

Gustavo... that’s what I meant... I practically love Marlene for sentimental reasons and I really like After...

I pretty much agree with what Stoney says... now you see people around with the windows down blasting Marlene and Afterhours or Verdena... talking about music with them is difficult because they keep repeating how cool they are... not like the rest of the crowd... Stoney is right... music isn’t just for looking at... what matters is just trying to find the slightly lesser-known band than your friend’s... and it bothers me because they listen to things that are among my favorites... and instead of having a serious discussion about musical quality, you have to hear things like: "are you still into Marlene? Damn... get into Verdena, they’re way cooler."

I enjoyed the film... I wouldn't call it a masterpiece... I agree with supersoul... the movie in question tells a story that is, all in all, quite trivial and perhaps even a bit naive... despite this... thanks to the director... it manages to make you smile... to engage you and above all to unsettle and move you in the beautiful finale...
