But I wonder if you read this book with your eyes or with your eyes and brain... that Buk is repetitive in the long run is true... but he perfectly represents the side of the losing America... he's a loser... he's not a role model and doesn't even pretend to be one... with his vulgarities and grammatical errors, he expresses the most sincere form of social criticism in my opinion...

I'm talking about the genre... not about bands... pay attention... it's the bands that were original... not the hard rock songs... communication breakdown and highway star are both hard rock tracks... deep purple and led zeppelin are not... (or at least... the zep were less hard rock than deep purple)... that's what I meant... @caz... traces of hard rock can be found today in stoner, in my opinion...

@primiballi...but you are absolutely right about not being sectorial...the point, in my opinion, is that some level of coherence is needed...I mean...in your review of Springsteen (whom, by the way, I''ll see tomorrow :D) you say things like...<<Others strictly follow setlists meticulously prepared, often by the big producers behind them, according to the puppet-like logic of "here we make them embrace, here we make them jump">>...<<Others use endless pre-recorded electronic sequences. They don’t.>>...stuff I completely agree with...only to then write here...<<If there are any sequences in the backing vocals, I’m sure (and I wouldn’t bet on the veracity of some second-rate guitar either...)>>...<<everything is expected, but beyond the expected.>>...these are the things I can’t wrap my head around...I’m perfectly fine with you enjoying both concerts in the end...but you can’t (in my opinion) exalt certain rock characteristics and then practically write the opposite...the discussion is interesting and there’s a bit of contradiction in all of us (otherwise we’d be pieces of wood)...but when one assumes a critical role (as we are doing now in our small way) it’s important to maintain a certain coherence...that’s all...anyway, long live the osterie for life :D...

@lordofcerume...in my opinion, hard rock...except for rare cases, has never been something original...new yes (like all things never heard before)...but original no...except for rare cases...like Deep Purple for example...and I’m talking about the genre itself...not the bands...:D

You are the living contradiction... first you write a review of Bruce where you preach about the simplicity of rock... about how it should be... concerts without elaborate plans from record labels looking to make money... with the artist playing his songs simply and spontaneously, etc... then you write one about U2 and exalt a band that, by your own admission, cares more about form than substance... but that's fine because "music is also this"... what???? Not to stir up pointless controversy... but you'll realize you've practically created an oxymoron... I like both meat and fish... but just because I'm talking about meat doesn't mean I'm denigrating fish because at that moment I'm enjoying a veal fillet that excites me... no damn it... you have been writing reviews where you always go after these new little groups (which ones anyway?) that do this and that, while the old ones don’t need to do this and that because they have nothing left to prove... up to this point, okay... I don't agree, but it's your idea and I respect it... then you talk about U2... who are one of the biggest spectacles in the industry... the music doesn't count for much... you exalt them... no... it doesn't add up... it makes me angry... what a shame because you can write...

@deep frenk...the discussion is old...it's not true that today's bands only play metal or pop rock...not even in Italy...where there is an underground scene (more than under) of considerable respect in my opinion...and you can find something for every taste...maybe you’re referring to those bands that play covers in venues...and there it’s true that you only find metal or pop rock...but more generally, I really don’t think it’s that way...the point is that hard rock is a genre that is already old in itself...and it's normal that it’s not the most popular NOW...and I prefer it that way...

even me blech...the devil in Kate Moss pt. 1 is the best in my opinion...then there's Mean Affair right behind...a really cool album...if you think about it, it’s Italian...who gives a shit...even if they as people, in my opinion, are pieces of shit...but whatever...
