The theater isn't on the level of Verdena? Ouch ouch ouch... :-) Anyway, in Italy there are some really great bands... sure... you sometimes have to dig really deep but there are beautiful things out there... take Intellectuals for example... or Sottopressione...

<< I had the pleasure of meeting Alberto, and I must say he wasn't at all full of himself. >>
I don't doubt that he wasn't full of himself with YOU... but have you watched his interviews? He's so fake, come on... it's obvious that he’s playing the part of the tortured and misunderstood artist trying to convey who knows what messages in his lyrics... as a musician, he’s quite good... but someone who behaves like that is a fool in my eyes... << I think they are very limited by our country, but that doesn't take away from the music they make. >> Look, they even get played on Emmetivì... actually... and I remind you that they are probably the most well-known group in the Italian "alternative" scene... the whole of Pensiola might not be listening to them... but anyone who watches music on TV knows who they are... I also say that I don’t know if they would have had such success abroad (meaning those born abroad)...

@motorblast...the one about the fans was more of a tease...in the sense that many of them act like they're so alternative and snobbish...but in reality, the most "alternative" stuff they know is the trio Afterhours, Subsonica, Verdena, and in their whole life, they've probably listened to no more than 15 albums, yet they talk down to you as if they know so much.

@nosebleed...live they are very good...technically they don't suck either...mine was more of a vent towards dear Alberto Ferrari...who has now become a real pain in the ass with his need to appear tormented at all costs...with lyrics that seem full of expression but actually say nothing...musically, they refer too much to certain models from across the ocean...and they even try to add a touch of originality to the fluff by inserting incredibly tedious instrumental passages, thinking that’s what psychedelia is...let’s be clear...I still like "Solo un grande sasso" even though overall it sounds a bit ā€œcolorlessā€...but they could have perfected "Requiem" and "Il suicidio del samurai"...I also listen to lots of little bands...for example, do you know The Intellectuals?

Well, Franci... I don’t think Agnelli is exactly the right person to be the indie snob... don’t you think? :-) That he’s a jerk is obvious... but at least in my opinion... he’s never really made any awful albums...

I personally can't stand them... Alberto is rarely fake... come on, who hasn't realized that he has always played the role of the dark artist in interviews, talking about "parlasolosecostrettoperpoiliberare lasuarabbiasulpalco"? Raise your hand if you've never noticed... they act incredibly pretentious (okay, Agnelli does it too... but at least he still produces albums... or almost... if not beautiful... at least decent...) writes lyrics filled with nothing... empty phrases that express nothing... and this comes from a fan of nonsense... then the music... can we please stop considering them the forefathers of rock in Italy? Aside from one great album (which is objectively a good record), they haven't made any memorable albums... just a few songs here and there... and the psychedelia? Only those who have never listened to actual psychedelia think they get it... and the fans... oh my god... they act all sophisticated and intellectually prepared... talk to them and you'll lose your patience... unbearably annoying...

@gasta...I think the cultural drift of the ggggiovani is mostly the fault of the school...professors who don’t give a damn...who have absolutely no idea what they’re talking about...convinced that spending life on shitty books is the best thing a ggggiovane can do...ok not all of them are like that...but the ones who are different NOW are few...school is a fantastic tool...but it's used like crap...what’s your idea instead?
