Oh, I saw them too and it was a really beautiful concert. I’m also super happy to see Capovilla finally stop being a life coach and go back to being a musician; he played and sang at his best for at least 2 hours. Favero and the drummer (the name escapes me, darn) were amazing, but I don’t even think it needs to be said; so much better than Teatro, One Dimensional Man :-)

"The guitars are still 'alternative'," you might have even put the word alternative in quotes, but honestly, I don't understand what you mean. So, how do these guitars sound? Anyway, there's an album by them (LD 50) that I like quite a bit and fortunately, I only come across Slipknot in bits and pieces. I'm not interested in their later works.

I agree with Gabri about the review, too excessive and forced, not to mention that the imagery described leaves me perplexed, as I find it doesn’t fit at all. The album: my favorite of the year, if I could have done it, I would have written the review myself, but really, I wasn't capable :-)

I find the documentary very poorly made, as it deliberately targets the "movement" and I'm absolutely certain (since I know some of them) that there are people in the Italian right-wing environment who are anything but ignorant; people who, when compared to those who populate the left-wing social centers, are on an extremely high level of culture and awareness. Personally, I'm not interested in social centers (whether right or left), but I'm sure that younger individuals on the right are much more educated than those on the left, at least among my peers. Just look at who crowds the demonstrations against the reforms currently taking place; rather than serious protests, they seem more like gatherings to listen to some music and smoke a joint in company. It's very sad to notice that at the final student assembly, out of the whole parade, we were just a handful of people left.

"Yes, because the voice of Emidio Clementi, or rather his recitation (which in some moments can even remind you of Carmelo Bene) >> This is beautiful :-)"

beautiful receipt... I tried Gothic Kabbalah by Therion, which attracted me a lot based on the reviews and descriptions... I listened to it, but I found only a kind of annoying power metal (just like I find all power metal) and really embarrassing, the album is played by a god, but thanks a lot -.- I’m not interested in this at all.

Not to be a contrarian for the sake of it, but I've never particularly liked this movie. Sure, it's beautiful, but in my opinion, it's the worst among what Kubrick has directed...

I saw them open for the theater two years ago (I think) at the Nuvolari. I remember I liked them even though there weren't many people watching and the sounds weren't exactly the best (better than those of the theater anyway :D). I even downloaded some random stuff of theirs from Soulseek, and I liked it. I don't remember almost anything about the songs or the details; I just know they made a positive impression on me overall. I need to listen to them again.

In the end, I read the book. Truly terrible, awful. I don’t know why, but for some reason I was really curious to see the movie, not expecting much (given the story it’s based on)... I was saying, I didn’t expect much, but not something this fucking bad. Music aside (nothing exceptional, but it fits), the rest is just awful, filmed horrendously with most of the actors being genuinely terrible, and I think those who haven’t read the book understood nothing (not that it’s all about the plot, but it was important here). And it’s boring; no, it’s not just that it’s often slow, it’s downright unbelievably boring. Mattia manages, if possible, to be even more lifeless than in the book; okay, the apathy, okay, everything, but seriously, he’s a little puppet, all his “passion” for math doesn’t exist, Mattia simply seems like a handicapped kid. Alice, on the other hand, I must say, works, but the skiing episode is just thrown in haphazardly. And there’s no “connection” between the protagonists; if I hadn’t read the book, I would have thought, “but what’s with all this prime number nonsense?” Seriously, the two act and experience things together, but this subtle yet intense bond doesn’t exist, and that’s not a minor flaw, considering the story of the book relies on that (long live the soap opera).
