Marlene Kuntz Ricoveri Virtuali E Sexy Solitudini

They may be hormonal outbursts, but I find the album like this. Let me elaborate on my statements. Horrible lyrics, yes, one above all is the one by pornorima, which aims to be provocative and biting, but is actually just pompous and ridiculous. Then there's Paolo Anima Salva, which makes me smile with the piece he does: the scenario is a melodrama of artificiality with forced emptiness inserted, it makes me smile because it's exactly what I think of this album, artificial, forced, and empty. And if it was meant to be a text about the difficulty of living in solitude because one doesn't recognize themselves in the multitude, well, I'm sorry, but that's a failed intent. I won’t bother commenting on the rest of the lyrics as I don't want to hurt marlene and myself (really). Songs: Orizzonti and Io e Me are the most sensible, Ricovero Virtuale could have an interesting structure, but with that sound, it is completely ruined. Godano can't sing, he’s more in tune than before but he’s not a singer. I repeat, as long as he has to outline the melody, he's fine, beyond that, well, it’s really irritating, he has an expressionless voice that, no matter how he modulates it, continues to be expressionless; he just can't sing certain parts. Period. Sound: it tastes of nothing, it’s a rock album, damn it, and the guitars lack any bite; even the "noise" finale of Io e Me doesn’t impress me in the slightest, it’s a completely “flavorless” sound, meticulously crafted, you can tell, but as much as it’s polished, it’s just as expressionless.

I want to emphasize that Marlene have been a very important band for me, I loved them and in part I still do. And I also say that Uno was not bad at all (despite a few moments being a bit too pretentious). I'm really sorry.

Piece of shit album. Today I listened to it carefully, and I was right before, it sucks. There's nothing in its right place. Horrible title. Terrible and even embarrassing lyrics (regardless of the message, they're just poorly written) and where they want to be annoying, violent, and all the rest, they are just ridiculous. There isn't a single song on the whole album that can be saved (some bits here and there, but not really much), and everything is further ruined by Godano's voice, which is truly annoying; someone should tell him that as long as he sings to outline the melody, it's fine, but trying to be a "real" singer, I'm sorry, it sucks, and all those voice effects are annoying and out of place. The sound, despite the highly praised production, I think is the worst the Marlene have ever had; I tried it on headphones and I realized it, a soft mixture that’s very little aggressive and doesn’t go anywhere. In other words: cloying, kitsch, baroque, pretentious, artificial. This is what I think of Rvss. Oh, Paolo Anima Salva among the ugliest songs I've ever heard, and the lyrics (once again) embarrassing.

Agreeing with azzo, I saw them some time ago and there too they played the entire new album, which, let's face it, in the end is kind of dull, nice tracks taken one by one, but as a whole it's an exaggerated slowness and a bit soporific. Since it's the tour for the latest album, it makes sense that they might give more space to the newly released tracks, especially because after the reunion they played uninterrupted for three years always the same stuff, and I know that after a while it becomes a pain in the ass. However, executing the whole (the whole) setlist from "cattive abitudini" and leaving the classics just for the encore is really too much. Massimo Volume made their mark with the albums before.

"They have produced a new album and not a remake of the previous ones, they have written something new and they haven't rewritten themselves." Sadness. They are a band that has been around for a few years; shouldn't the fact that they don’t recycle themselves be a standout feature? If by the third (or fourth) album you’re already starting to recycle, maybe you should just get the hell out of the way. Anyway, I also got the title wrong earlier; it was Tempi Bui.

I had listened to Tempi duri, really horrendous, shitty sounds, indecent songs. Lyrics halfway between Vasco Brondi and Verdena. Not to mention they have crazy ugly faces, the kind that I would go see just to throw something at them. Luckily, as much as they are commercially promoted, it doesn’t seem like they have a big following. Or rather, of all the people I know who listen to """indie""", there’s not a single one who likes them, not even those who go crazy for Arctic Monkeys or shit like that.

It seems that Vasco Brondi is a new insurance company from the way you talk about him :D

My ex-girlfriend was struck by an interview the guy gave to a magazine whose name I can't recall. He mentioned bands like Melvins and Electric Wizard, which caught my attention, so maybe I should give him a listen :D

Mmm, look, it’s all good, but something that’s been constructed at the drawing board, definitely not. Since Giorgio Canali is producing it, I know you might think that, but it’s not like that at all, that’s for sure. He even did a demo before (you must know that, I guess), where Canali really isn’t involved, and some say it’s better than the actual album. I wouldn’t know, they’re two really different things. Anyway, it’s true, the "press" (which these days are basically music websites xD) has praised it to the skies, and for once they were actually somewhat right, considering it truly was something new. Now, absolutely not. :D
