The Clash From Here To Eternity: Live

Hi everyone, personally I don't really agree that the Pistols were a boy band; instead, I think the idiot was Sid Vicious, he just wanted to cause chaos and that was it. But Rotten, in my opinion, had a point, in fact, in the end, he rebelled against Malcolm McLaren. As for the idea that someone born in '92 can't review old records, that's bullshit. It's logical that when you're young you watch MTV and there are Green Day and Linkin Park, but maybe that's exactly how you discover the rest; for example, from Green Day you get to the roots of punk and with Linkin Park, you go to the greats of metal. That's what happened to me; in the end, I concluded by renouncing both the Park and the Day, and now as I move forward, I'm discovering older and older stuff (even the classic rock n' roll of Chuck Berry or Little Richard).

Okay, sorry but I didn't understand. Anyway, I didn't defend the reviewer, I just said that in my opinion the review, although somewhat poorly written, wasn't that bad. Then that he wrote some crazy nonsense is beyond doubt, but perhaps I'm more lenient than you and felt like giving him a 3 anyway.

Okay, but the second one, where you tell me if I should listen to my grandfather or not?

@ghemison, but who told you anything? Look, I didn't write that the Clash converted to reggae; in fact, I supported supersoul in his opinion! Can you explain to me why you're taking it out on me? (Since in your first comment I didn't even realize you were addressing me)

@ longliverock, when I talked about "imitating him," I didn't mean just in hitting the high notes, but also in engaging the audience. Anyway, I'm not very good at singing; the band I'm in is more punk, and even if I mess something up, it's not the end of the world. But I must say I'm quite good at screaming, in fact "Back in the Saddle" isn't too bad for me.

Hello supersoul, I want to tell you that I quite agree with you. As I already mentioned, the Clash's punk has always been different from the others. Then regarding reggae, it can't be called a conversion; I would say they rather had the desire to try something new and with delightful results. Even though I repeat: for my personal tastes, I've always preferred the early vinyls up to Sandinista, which for some strange reason is my favorite of the Clash.

Hey peer, the review isn't the best, but it’s okay. As for the Clash, I think they’re my favorite punk band, precisely because they weren't incompetent in their playing (not that I think they’re exceptional) and the lyrics were very smart. Regarding the style change, well frankly I preferred the early Clash, but you can’t say that "Train in Vain" and the other mentioned tracks are awful; they remain classics and I would define them as "experimental," and live they have a different impact.

Hello everyone, and first of all, thank you for the very positive comments. Bonny 91, as you may have seen in the review, I also own World Wide Live and it’s definitely better than this one, but in my opinion, it lacks a bit of energy. To Lord: Live Killers is also beautiful, but in my opinion, the absolute best is "Made in Japan" by Deep Purple.

Hi longliverock, for me, Steven Tyler is not just my singer but also my favorite character. I don’t know if you heard that he was sick with hepatitis and has recently recovered; another person would have stopped, but he went on tour anyway so as not to disappoint anyone. I think he’s great. When I sing in my little rock band, sometimes I try to imitate him, but no one will ever succeed. Maybe I idolize him too much, but I also love the lyrics, completely carefree, mocking religion and other things, and in a way, also "poetic."
