Great review, I'm not giving you a 5 because you could have spent a few words on the emotions. As for the Purple, what can I say: Blackmore is my favorite among guitarists and this concert is spectacular, but I prefer Live in concert where Ian Gillan is on vocals; I consider him one of the best rock singers of all time. Anyway, it's interesting to hear Smoke on the water in two voices.

I think the review is a bit trivial (you've done much better things) and I don’t completely agree with it. The commercial revival happened in 1987 with Permanent Vacation, and this is the last of the big ones. Moreover, I think it's a step down from Permanent Vacation and Pump, as you start to hear slightly softer melodies. Then, aside from Crazy (which I really don’t like), I really appreciate Cryin’, very beautiful even though it's quite catchy, and Amazing, with very nice and profound lyrics. Yes, the lyrics: a point where Aerosmith might be overlooked because many think they only talk about sex in an excessive way, but many are truly noteworthy: see Dream On, Movin' Out, Season of Wither, Last Child, Janie's Got a Gun, Dude, Monkey on My Back, Eat the Rich, Amazing, and many more.

This time I don’t agree with you, Nevermind isn’t that commercial after all. The fact is that in my opinion, if they hadn’t signed with a major, it would have sold about the same as Bleach, which in turn would have sold much more with Geffen. This is definitely the quintessential Nirvana album, the rawest, but at the same time also melodic. I also have a book about the history of Nirvana where Chad explains that they replaced him because he was making too many mistakes live in recent times (not because he sounded too loud, which is a debatable statement). No hard feelings.

The review is beautiful, one of the best I have ever read: it describes emotions and performances, and it even made me a little teary. Regarding Axl, I believe Nirvana and Guns were two very different bands and I don't understand why everyone compares them; Guns play hard rock and are technically very capable, but in my view, Kurt's band manages to convey unique emotions when he screams. Also, that technically masterful, in my opinion, is meant to say that when they played, they didn't make mistakes, not that they are exceptionally skilled in technique.

Frankly, I wouldn't have gone to this day even if I were dead, since I hate nu metal. But maybe for Alice in Chains and Guns, although even these two have lost their main characters. But dear trooper, why are you throwing shade at Axl Rose? Maybe you don't like him, but at his peak he was a very charismatic singer and in my opinion, even if he's a jerk, he deserves respect, and I've also been told that when they played "Welcome to the Jungle," everyone was in a frenzy, which means he's not completely a charlatan.

Alright, let's make it 3 (even though I'm not sure if it counts).

The review wouldn't be bad, but I just don't understand you. Okay, you don't like Machine Head, but you comment on the opening band (and from the way you talk about them, they don't seem great in your opinion either) and then completely neglect the headliners? And this comes from someone who doesn't like Machine Head; at least you could have described the performance like the others and then somehow mentioned that you don't like them. As it is, they're considered non-existent.

I agree with Zanna, for me the live performance that creates this kind of emotion is exactly this one, because the audience participates a lot and when Meine makes the crowd sing along, you feel like doing it too, this is "Classic Live" by Aerosmith.
