Kalmah The Black Waltz
Voto:
Here it is. The deed is done. Despite my efforts to avoid mentioning Children of Bodom, they keep coming up. But why? If I wrote that the influences draw heavily from Thrash to Black, it’s precisely to avoid misleading the reader by comparing them to C.o.B., nothing more.
And then, don't worry. "The Black Waltz" is very different from "Swamplord," so trust me and give Kalmah a chance.

"abbath and demonaz <<vivesero>> (?????) a moment of great euphoria..."
Are you in first or second grade, sorry?
Donkey.

Great review. Comprehensive, thorough, and covering every aspect of the album.
Arcturus, then, need no introduction, so tomorrow I'll buy the CD, after having already listened to a few tracks let's say "in advance."
Congratulations once again. If only there were more reviews like this.
Ancient Rites Rubicon

Ah, and then, metallarobionico: you vote with confidence and give a 1 to an album you haven’t even listened to? Very smart attitude (see above), don’t you think?
Ancient Rites Rubicon
Voto:
Ancient Rites are not Nazis at all. Don’t be misled by ignorance just because the cover image features the Roman imperial flag, not a Nazi icon. Rubicon, on the other hand, is an album released in 2006, so there’s nothing nostalgic about it, except for the dismay at the lack of intelligence of someone who posted comments above.

Sorry, but how can you say that this album is "empty" (your words, not mine because I don't agree with them) and then give it a 4 as a rating?
It seems to me that you wanted, as they say, to "save the goat and the cabbage." You hinted that you didn't like the CD, but you gave it a good score, perhaps just because it's Ensiferum...
That’s a really unfair attitude, considering that this work is certainly not like their self-titled album, but is still ten leagues away from all the junk we hear nowadays.
Ensiferum Ensiferum
Voto:
I can't understand why, instead of wallowing in self-pity and worrying about how others dress or think, there isn't more talk about this wonderful album from an equally wonderful band. I feel sorry for the reviewer who writes great things, but what I've mentioned above, and especially what he expressed in the comments he signed, I do not agree with, so: maximum respect, but when it comes to Ensiferum, there's no room for controversy.
Tormentor Anno Domini
Voto:
I don't know them. I've never listened to them, but just hearing the name Attila Csihar sends chills down my spine. It will definitely be a fantastic album, as you've rightly said. Congratulations on re-evaluating a little-known work that has had so much influence since then; that's commendable on your part.
Borknagar Origin
Voto:
It must be said that even those who know Borknagar and have been following them for a long time find themselves, let’s say, ā€œin a bindā€ when it comes to placing them accurately, since they, as I have already mentioned, manage to surprise and unsettle with every new release. In any case, I recommend that anyone who wants to deepen their understanding of the band should listen to the first two albums by Borknagar, which in terms of beauty are second to none (including this one, and here’s the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5).
In reviewing this work, which cannot even be considered Metal, if we want to be completely honest, I have tried, as usual, to focus solely on this aspect, deliberately ignoring previous releases, precisely because I wouldn’t want the merit of this work to be undermined by judgments tainted by what the band has been.

For foreveryoung: If you find it, listen to the remixed version included in "Atlantis Lucid Dreaming." I assure you, it's really worth it.
