the blonde is exactly the non-beauty for this film: the American beauty entirely based on appearing perfect. the scene where ricky avoids her with the camera to frame the much more complex jane is emblematic in this sense, and confirms the entire theory of my review.

good job happypippo. existentialism is definitely the worst part of the movie. I find the discussion about beauty very interesting, but the one about life in general, which basically says that everything is fine as it is, is frankly the weak point. In fact, I didn't dwell on this point, and I didn't give the film a 5 precisely for this reason.
