I must say that I don't find them bad at all. Pop that's incredibly empty, but it's also incredibly trashy, and it's not easy to write music that’s truly trash at its core!
Gabriella Cilmi Lessons To Be Learned

the review is obviously a joke, and I won't even explain why! I just can't stand cilmi... I find her a watered-down copy of winehouse, who has truly earned my respect. the chart-busting single (and a load of crap) 'sweet about me' is downright annoying, especially with the chant-like verses. she doesn’t have an ounce of personality and I’m sure she won’t be remembered for long! come on gabriella, no hard feelings!
Nada Luna In Piena

Wow, what a beautiful album...! The Sanremo piece is phenomenal, even though it's a bit challenging for the festival. 'Pioggia d'estate' is intimate and enveloping, boasting a truly intense interpretation. For the rest, I think the standout tracks are 'Il sole grosso', with those crescendoing verses and the opening of the chorus, 'La verità', and 'L'attaccapanni', which showcases a very refined sense of melody. But the masterpiece of the album, in my opinion, is 'Distese', which confirms Nada as a unique Italian version of Patti Smith. Overall, the album is less cohesive than her previous works in this new musical chapter for Nada: it lacks the sharp irony of 'Curata e coccolata', the evocative violence of 'Gesù', or the intensity of any song from the masterpiece 'Tutto l'amore che mi manca', but it remains a great body of work that deserved much more attention...

Come on! I was 15! Everyone has their skeletons in the closet! But when will you review my band's demo? It would be an honor and I would be delighted to see my music insulted on DeBaser! www.myspace.com/frauleinrottenmeier

I was listening to him at the same time I was listening to the Spice Girls... and I liked both groups ;-)

Björk Live @ Arena di Verona, 28.07.2008

For me, it wasn't exactly the masterpiece you describe... The concert itself could have been, if I hadn't seen last year's date at Villa Manin! It was basically the same concert, with very few setlist variations and zero (zero!) changes in scenery/choreography. I knew it was part of the same tour, but honestly, I thought that a year later, and given the special setting, Björk and her production would have thought to include something new. I mean, it had already happened in Italy, a year prior and just a few kilometers away from Verona: she could have definitely offered something different since most of the audience had already been to Codroipo the year before! For me, it was quite disappointing. I saw someone doing her job exactly the same way she had for a year, not an artist in the act of creating art! Incredible, Villa Manin and Arena: two almost identical concerts, but such different impressions! The first time I left exhilarated, but now I'm just disappointed...

But why is the title phantom?
Janis Joplin Pearl
Voto:
a magnificent album, perhaps less striking than the previous ones, less visceral. the review is unreadable and predictable in its use of clichés. moralism can also be forgiven, but in my opinion, the worst thing is that it says nothing about the album in question, just throwing out a handful of uninteresting personal feelings. if I didn’t know who it was about, I wouldn’t have understood a thing about Pearl...

this album is magnificent; it's a shame that italy is working so poorly because they deserved much more success... I want to highlight the recent solo work of raffaella destefano, who remains a warm and enveloping performer, capable of writing truly excellent songs!
