@antoniodeste: I was in the mind of the Gods! Touché.

Well done. I think like you do (see Disco Hauz by LdL)

@Genoo: you assign whatever meaning you want to the review; I could joke about it or not; I could appreciate Leone Di Lernia as much as Slint; or not appreciate him at all. What would it change, after all? Anyway, the premise is not out of place, indeed, it’s the core of the review. I do appreciate your remarks, though.

All the tracks are in the Queen style... but if a guy who doesn't really know what the Queen style is happened to come across the site, what would he understand from the review? The album is decent, saved precisely by that Gimme the Prize that doesn't 'arba' you.
Gentle Giant Interview
Voto:
@antoniodeste: I’ll clarify right away: minimal=they played in the video gathered in a small room of a few square meters, with relatively simple instrumentation [compared to, for example, that of Yes during the Wakeman period]; amateurish in the literal sense = playing for the pleasure of making music, which fits well with the cultured members of Gentle Giant. About prog in 1976 = you’re right, the point is that since '76 I remember few good prog works, until the new flourishing in the '90s, which however feels very much like recycling. Maybe give me the titles of some good prog albums post - '76 (except Van der Graaf, that would be too easy). Thanks anyway.
Little Feat As Time Goes By

@cofras: very simply, I haven't reviewed Sailin' because, although I own it, I haven't listened to it recently and I couldn't access it for a refresher before writing the de-review. It's true that this anthology has some flaws, but I believe it's useful for getting introduced to the band. You could start by reviewing something specific... thanks anyway for your spot-on observations.

The Meat Puppets have been retroactively labeled as grunge: only when Cobain pointed to them as his source of inspiration. Following this logic, even King Crimson would be grunge, because Cobain liked their Red (!).
Good job, you "burned" a long-planned de-review ;)
I believe they have almost nothing to do with grunge. Similarly, in this album, they share little with hardcore and similar genres.
We're more in the realm of Little Feat and ZZ Top than anything else.
