Thank you all for the comments. Dear Ocram, I also visit this site less than I used to, and I write even less, due to various professional commitments (we all grow up...), you haven't missed anything in the last few months. Say hi to Verona for me.

Twiggy is stunning. The revival of the '60s mood is halfway between Austin Powers and cutting-edge retro.

As a decent fan of Argento, I would like to clarify that: the man killed by being slammed against the corners is - in the film - Professor Giordani, played by Glauco Mauri, and not a policeman. Among the various masterpieces of the Roman master, you don't mention Tenebre: in my opinion, it's his best film in terms of the giallo construction, inferior to PR for the anxiety it creates in the viewer. After Tenebre, his career indeed went on the decline. A bit far-fetched are your debates on the strength of the killer: the film is all "over the top," with a pronounced dose of unreality. This enhances the viewer's sense of estrangement and, on a practical level, deflects suspicion away from the real culprit. That's all.

Thank you for the clarification. Which brings me to say [drumroll]... that the Wolfango are better than Sonic Youth (whom I love very much).

Dear Pretazzo, I have never seen them live. I was indeed aware that they didn't have the guitarist, but while listening to the tracks on the album, it seems to me that there are some guitar parts (ultra distorted). Unless what I call guitar is actually a bass... which means that the Wolfango are REALLY the best there has ever been on the scene, at the latitude of Milan - Naples and New York (better than much of the alternative scene in the Big Apple). Just think what would have happened if they had debuted at CBGB, instead of in our Italian province.

Everything is excellent: I just have a curiosity: is "Nero a metà" by Pino Daniele James Senese [or is it simply Daniele asserting Afro-American cultural and musical influences, somewhat like Sugar Fornaciari]? P.S.: from the Neapolitan scene, the early Bisca (those of Lidia Magari etc.) should also be remembered.

No, I am not from MN: nevertheless, it's a magnificent and underrated land [great food and very nice, down-to-earth people], my ancestors were from there. Let's say that MN takes the best from Lombardy, Veneto, and Emilia without adding the worst.
