Start with this then listen to "Born Into Trouble as the Sparks Fly Upward." And don't overlook "North Star Deserter" by Vic Chesnutt, a collaboration that can be considered part of their discography, bye.

Great antiquarian Grasshopper, a true pleasure to read you again even if this isn't the Brahms work I prefer. On the other hand, you give me a good excuse to try to change my mind by re-listening to the version I have, Abbado and Berliner for the record, which I’m now taking with me in the car. I seem to remember that this work was dedicated to his mother who passed away not long before, but according to some, it was related to the departure of Schumann himself that you mention in your review. The initial excursus on the comparison with Beethoven is nice and also understandable if we think about the years Brahms dedicated to writing his first symphony, but (perhaps) we've already discussed this on other occasions. Take care, Grasshopper, and I'll read you again.

I had missed it, strange because I really liked "12 songs"... thanks for the heads-up, intense voice as always, well-constructed musical context, great album.

Objectivity, objectively, does not exist. Great album nonetheless, three and a half stars.

Milestone? Easy to say, but it’s definitely a great album.

Good review, somewhat boring movie, a bit of a confusing script. As already mentioned, Miller has nothing to do with psycho except for sociological hints; there's more of Moore and Bolland's The Killing Joke. The interpretation of the Joker as an extreme psychopathic character is the best part of the film, and Ledger, at times, imitates Nicholson.

I listened to them without knowing anything about them some time ago, and I liked them—derivative but fresh, easy yet not immediate. Good reception.

In '99 I spent about £120,000 to hear him in Florence and I've never regretted it. Too bad I missed him this time... maybe in 2017.
