Well, Fabrizio, it often happens that there can be conflicts and even very heated arguments behind the scenes. Many musicians are remembered for their prickly personality (among the greats, Miles Davis, K. Jarrett, etc.), but I don't know how important that is. Bye.

Well, you can't always agree :) as a response, it's the same as the one to the review of real gone.

Well, you have to keep in mind that more than an album, you should consider it a "soundtrack" for the theater, so it has its own specific dimension compared to the (wonderful) albums you mentioned. I also love this one a lot, ciao :)

it's quite long ... the poem, I mean, I'll leave you the opening lines but not the translation :))) "minca macaca, funesta e fatale / tue est chi m'as giuttu a su casinu / tue est chi m'as trazadu a s'ispidale / solu pro m'iscazzare unu pappinu"

Well, if I evaluate the album in relation to their discography, the score is indeed low. In the context of Sardinian music, it can work as an assessment; let's raise the average, shall we? :)

come on dear I love music don't talk nonsense because Mereu is a serious thing and if anything, read his lyrics, I'm sure that poems like minca macaca could catch your interest ;))

Exaggerated... cute yes, a nice little disc (three and a half stars), as well as "careless love," but the interpretative ability of Billie Holiday is out of this world; in fact, I think the closeness to Billie’s timbre might be his limit. Three stars (and a half) for the review despite the nice logical inconsistency given by the timeless feeling of the album that – for some reason – refreshes sounds from the 40s/50s ;)
