Interesting as usual. Even though ... prog sometimes tires me, I must admit that your reviews encourage a change of mind.

I’ve listened to it a couple of times and so far it has made a good impression on me; it flows. It actually gives the idea you describe of a soft singer-songwriter style, at times refined. I think this CD won't gather dust on the shelf anytime soon. Bye.

But who are you, Lapalisse? Or do you teach "banality" at Bocconi? What kind of reasoning is this? Sorry, but the meaning of your words is really hard to grasp as interesting. To me, it seems flat and superficial. Moreover, your fragile argument has the flaw of being easily overturned, because it is equally true that without Faber, this album wouldn’t have turned out so beautiful and engaging. An example... As I mentioned in the comments I left earlier, the idea of using Genoese - the added value of the album - was Faber's. Initially, both thought of using a hybrid language with sounds from the Mediterranean. It was Faber who pointed out that this language already existed: Genoese. The transition of different populations from the sea into the port had enriched it with the maritime culture, with the breath of the Mediterranean. And it was this breath that the album wanted to convey. Creuza de ma - like many works that De André had the chance to work on - is thus a piece that unites different talents, modernly blending knowledge, facilitating encounters of musical visions. From this methodological aspect, it is an emblem of further modernity. Regards.

I haven't heard this live yet, but if the source is essentially the album released with E. Harris, as you say, I don't think I'll get it unless for collection purposes. In fact, I found that album somewhat boring, more or less in the terms described punny. A work that winds itself up in worn-out patterns by our mark. However, I still believe that Knopfler hasn't exhausted his creative vein, but maybe he should take a few more risks, perhaps looking for new arrangements, new settings, otherwise the risk is a continuous déjà-vu. Bye.

A nice album and she is a great character considering the numerous musical collaborations that preceded this debut album. I particularly liked it for the way she interprets the songs: vitality, passion, intensity. A warm album that is a pleasure to listen to, and I also really enjoyed the review. Bye.
