I know, Cleo. Since I've been hanging around these pages, the voice CD impacts my pockets much more than in the past :)

Dear Tano, the fact that heinous crimes have been perpetrated in the (fortunately) former communist countries is undeniable. Just as it is equally true that China and Cuba are not two paradises. It doesn't seem to me that my words deny these truths. If we were in a courtroom, it would be referred to as a peaceful fact. But, if you want, we can talk about it whenever and however you like. Indeed, if you are interested in exchanging letters on the matter, all the better (my email is antlu@libero.it). We'll see then who needs to study or revise. I think there is always something to learn, but not everyone has something to teach. However, all this does not change my very personal judgment on some opinions expressed on this page which I classify as fascist. If you want to call them differently, I don't mind. What matters is the concept. Voltaire (or perhaps Lincoln) said, “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.” I wonder if everyone here thinks that way. Reading some comments (including yours), I have some doubts. Reading your childish reaction confirmed them for me. Regards.

Finally read . . . wow, Mr_Iko, we were just missing Charlton Heston. For 5 stars, I also want the dealer's address :)

Why shouldn’t Federico's review appear on de-baser? What are the rules to be followed for publication? Do they exist? Who knows? Do you want them? And what is the proposal? A preventive quality control… meh. In this case, the review shouldn't be published because Celine Dion sucks. And who says Celine Dion sucks? Many people like her (although I don't understand why, even if I haven’t thought much about the issue). Do you want to determine in advance what deserves publication on the site? And based on what criteria of grace? If you already know what has value and what doesn’t, then what’s the point of de-baser? What’s the point of engaging with others' opinions? If you already know everything, why read others' opinions? Do you want to preserve the alternative nature of de-baser? Meh. The comment section seems sufficient for that purpose. If Celine Dion is the issue (which is yet to be proven), the solution of censorship is still worse than the problem. Because, let's be clear, it’s one thing to criticize, to disagree, to ask the reviewer if they don't have anything better to review, to freely express one's opinion; it’s another to request a filter or the removal of reviews on albums and/or artists that we don’t like, or even worse, the purging of a reviewer. Call it whatever the hell you want. I call it fascism. Bah… tonight I’ll rewatch Fahrenheit 451 to cleanse my soul. Regards.

So far, I haven't lingered on this review because Celine Dion's music doesn't interest me, and I believe that, despite Federico's passionate review, it won't interest me tomorrow either. But I see that for a while now, there has been talk of something else. As in other reviews, I see the specter of censorship emerging in the comments section. I reiterate that I don't like it.
