I really liked "Buena Vista Social Club." Even in that case, Wenders uses the documentary format and succeeds in wonderfully reconstructing the musical characters of Cuba, from Portuondo to Ruben Gonzales (if I remember correctly). Their stories are truly incredible. A must-see.
