I just saw it again, then I read this review. You should already know my judgment on the film since I talked about it in another review. As well-written as I find this critique, I overall consider it sterile, flat, off target, and with some non-negligible argumentative leaps. Which ones? What does political mean could be the question to start from, however since the discussion about this film hasn't taken off elsewhere, I see no reason for it to develop here, so I’m heading to bed and good night.

My favorites by Truffaut, aside from this one, are "Les Quatre Cents Coups" and "L'homme qui aimait les femmes." His films have an almost hypnotic power for me, in the sense that once I start watching them, I can't take my eyes off the screen even though I've seen the movie dozens of times. Then when I see Jeanne Moreau... The thing with Truffaut makes me feel almost embarrassed, and maybe that's why I can't talk about it; I wanted to try to review one of his films but then I gave up. Just reading, however, isn't so bad.

I've heard something, but not everything; it's difficult to know all of Bach's works. The review by Grass is excellent as always in its development, although I would have avoided the preface, which is ultimately unnecessary given all this meat on the grill. Bye

Really? In the room where I was, I felt different sensations, but what I meant to say is that it has to be viewed with adolescent eyes, because otherwise it doesn't even make sense to go to the movies to watch these little films.
