Ben Harper Diamonds On The Inside

Even though I share the same opinion as Frantz, I didn't mind this record as much. It didn't last long in the player, but it never annoyed me, and I believe it will make another round eventually. Also, I've always liked Ben Harper, maybe because of the title of one of his old albums: "fight for your mind." Regards.

I would have preferred to have answers to these questions, but it is what it is. In any case, I think it's a bit excessive and inaccurate to throw all Western art music into the "classical music" pot. Saying that Berio is a representative of classical music seems at least inaccurate to me. Claiming that classical music is being written today doesn't seem correct. If you believe that the definition fits perfectly, that's fine; I don’t intend to argue about these things. However, in response to your question, if I remember correctly, Vlad meant written music as that which is referable to a score, which provides very specific modes of execution (I'm not a technician, so just bear with me). As for the periods preceding classicism, I believe there are still other definitions (I reiterate that I am not a technician). I think the term "baroque music" is used, and going even further back, the term "ancient music" is often used (not classical). In other words, Bach does not belong (I believe) to classicism, nor does the music of Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina or Orlande de Lassus. Classifications can sometimes be an unnecessary cage, but in this case, I think they can help to better chronologically place the periods of musical evolution, aiding understanding. In other words, they can help a listener navigate a record library more easily. I hope I have explained myself clearly; if not, I apologize. Bye.

Dear Stichetta, as I mentioned before, I can't remember the title of Vlad's speech. You know, I read it several years ago. Whether you believe that or not is of little importance to me. What matters to me is definitely not taking ownership of ideas that do not belong to me. I then reported my memories, so I might have been imprecise. I can't rule that out. Your intervention, however, did not please me. Aside from the tone, which I won't dwell on, I would have preferred to know your opinion rather than read a definition from a dictionary. I am well aware that classical music is commonly talked about in that sense, but with my intervention, I wanted to present an opinion that stands in contrast to that definition. I wanted to bring just an opinion, a contribution that I didn't find stupid, on which to engage in conversation. Do you not agree with that idea? Why?

Unfortunately, I can't recommend you Cliff, because I don't know him. I looked for something online and (if it's him) I found this link link rotto There are a lot of interesting things, including a "modern drummer" video where Dave Lombardo also appears. Bye.

It must have been a lovely evening, and from what I know, it went well for you. I've been told that in Rome, Lisa didn't sing, and although the concert was beautiful, it suffered quite a bit because of that.
