I don't really like the samples; they give me the impression of things I've heard a billion times already, and those synths in the background... I don't know... good review anyway.

The hint of the sample doesn't intrigue me much; in fact, to be honest, the arrangements annoy me a bit. However, the review is well done. One curiosity... was the Ozpetek film where one of his tracks was present "La finestra di fronte"?

Already interesting, but enough with the new labels, we really can't take it anymore!!

I liked the review; it's concise yet comprehensive. It lacks your personal interpretation, but that could come in the comments.

A film that gave me inner jolts and reasons for reflection, thanks also to some real punches in the gut. A film that I liked for its management of tonal shifts. And as I mentioned, it left me thinking. At the time of its release, there was talk of an anti-clerical film. A lot of controversy, much of it, for me, pointless and sterile. To me, it wasn’t an anti-clerical film. I interpreted it in a broader sense. The film speaks about oppression, about the violence of people against other people, in a social context that allows and accepts it. The film speaks of evil. The nuns are violent, it's true. But they are so within a social context that accepts them and shares their actions, a context probably not yet erased, given that we’re talking about relatively "recent" stories. Why focus only on the clerical factor and not on the overall violence of a society in which "bastards," girls who were raped, or even girls who had freely made love, could not live? And the father (if I remember correctly) who returns his beaten and humiliated daughter to the nuns, reminding her of her fate as a "whore"... is that an anti-clerical image? The other theme, physical and mental violence, becomes interesting when related to the subject of the violence itself: women. Women often represent the weaker part of society that also suffers violence and punishment. This happened in Ireland until yesterday. It happens every day, still, and in a more or less accepted manner by society or part of it in many places around the world. A beautiful film for me, therefore, but not only that. An important film, because it leaves some messages that can and should serve as significant guides for everyone even today. Bye.

Niche proposal, an extremely hard-to-find record, a joy to listen to.

few resources, so much soul, great results. I watched some videos on YouTube besides the one suggested, and they leave a nice impression. In short, a great proposal that deserves recognition. It's just a shame that blues doesn't interest many people around here.

I keep thinking that the best thing about debaser for someone writing a review are the certain feedbacks that emerge from the discussions in the comments section. In this case, I found it really interesting to learn more about Zeena Parkins from the dialogue between fusillo and kataklisma (thanks to both of you), I took notes. Then I must say I’m glad to know that these words helped to make this album known and appreciated by someone (thanks to you for the double trust, kataklisma, musical and literary). @nofake: I sent you a private message to respond to the technical question, but it didn't go through; please email me at Hal_1971@libero.it so I can send you all the information you need in a Word attachment. @Stoopid, thank you, it wasn’t easy indeed, I hope you like the album at least half as much as I did; that would already be a lot. @Deneil, I hope that listening to this album might spark your interest; if so, let me know your impressions, I would be interested in hearing them. @kosmo, we are always sailing from one musical island to another; if you happen to get stranded (which can always happen sooner or later) near the tin hats, I’m sure you'll share your feelings with me as always. And of course, hi Nick :)) Have a good week, thanks again to everyone for spending a bit of time in here, hal_oa :))
