Peter Gabriel Peter Gabriel IV

As for the character Peter Gabriel, I see him as a sort of volcano of ideas, and I’m not referring only to his being a musician, but also to his ideas about the paths of the music industry. Some choices made by Real World have been courageous for me. I think about the recording of "S'amore e mama" by the Tenores di Bitti. An opening that I have led other labels down this path (Winter & Winter, for example). I am also very intrigued by the development of the M.U.D.D.A. manifesto created with Brian Eno, aimed at creating and redefining different relationships than the current ones between the market and music production, through the use of new technologies and downloading. I still don't have a clear understanding of the goals and methods of implementing this manifesto, but it makes me think that the waters around Gabriel are always stirred by new ideas. Bye.

True, the video for "Sledgehammer," for example, is a beautiful video for me even today.

It is said that Jaco introduced himself to Joe Zawinul by saying, "My name is John Francis Pastorius III and I am the greatest bassist in the world." Zawinul told him to get lost, but then an opportunity arose for an audition. Zawinul was stunned by what Jaco could do with the bass, and from that moment on, the Weather Report changed.

A passion that is easily felt jigoro :) "His seeds remain in our musical universe and are scattered in diaspora everywhere"

I actually like the review. There’s a description, but it’s not dry: "whose nocturnal, lunar, and mysterious charm is due to the contrast between the velvety Andean pan flutes and the persistent and unsettling percussion, yet not overwhelming. The first part is already stunning, but the second reaches spine-tingling heights" etc., etc. I can read Grassopher's passion in these words and in the many adjectives scattered throughout the text. Point of view :) Bye.

You know, it often happens to me that I listen to an album at a certain moment and don't get much out of it. So I let it go and come back to it after I've forgotten the listening experience. It doesn't always work, but sometimes it has helped me reevaluate music that was at risk of being dismissed too quickly. The previous albums of B.P.B. that I've heard are (to me) disarmingly beautiful. However, I tend to listen to them in small doses. Try listening to them again and then let me know. And maybe in the end... you still won't become passionate about it :D Bye.

G_à wrote a review, G is back to writing a review after quite some time (even if it’s a joint effort), if we get one from kurz now, I might start to worry. Troubling signs, the end of the world is near! :)))))))))))
