Sorry for the delay, but I have the good habit of spending the weekend well away from my PC, mobile phone, television, etc. I see that the review has raised some scattered impressions; replying to everyone is challenging, but I think it's only fair to do so, so I gladly leave my replies.
@ zarboris, it’s not my habit to talk about an album unless after repeated and persistent listens; in this case, everyone (including the last listen in the fog of last Saturday's dawn) confirmed the idea of a beautiful but boring album. It’s an album that contains some (few) nice songs, but for me, it struggles to take off. I think this is a significant flaw, difficult to forgive from artists like Laura Veirs, who has a lot of talent, but in this case, it seems poorly spent as it presents an overall rather anonymous album. I'm glad you have a different perception, even if only partially since it seems I understand you consider it to be of a lower level than her other works.
@ Pi.per, perhaps we’re not that far apart; I could say it occasionally grazes sufficiency, but knowing Laura Veirs one could expect more, at least I expected more intensity that I did not find. As for Feist, I agree; "The Reminder" I liked because it heavily relies on Leslie's vocal abilities, it's an album that felt very sunny, alive, and at times intimate. It seemed to me a step forward, a growth compared to "Let it die."
@ DanteCruciani, my Saturday morning was all good, you can see it here with the whole path :)

@ jim, I knew I could count on your solidarity.
@ kosmo, no, there is a review of the naughty girl, but indeed, "Back to Black" is missing, which is a good album; it's just that I don’t choose what to review, the album chooses to be reviewed, and it hasn't asked me yet ;) -
@ Charley, thank you so much, talking about an album that disappointed me is not easy for me, that’s why it doesn’t happen frequently.
@ nick, I heard that Amy – after years of suffering – fell in love and wants to leave music; I hope it’s just one of those classic journalist's exaggerations that had nothing else to write about, and if it’s true, I hope she doesn't leave music for cinema.
@ kataklisma, yes, it’s an album that risks being forgotten, which is a shame. I listened to it again on Saturday morning in the car, hoping to finally find that spark I was looking for, instead... -
@ Ghemison, do listen to her anyway, because you should never trust reviews ;) -
@ sfascia, you’re right about everything, adding a "depends" as big as the Gennargentu. See you at "Berlin," I’m counting on it :) -
@ Bisius, it’s not beautiful what is beautiful, but how beautiful, how beautiful, how beautiful :) -
@ nofake, no, listen to it, maybe starting from her previous works to get to this one; it’s not a waste of time, she’s a talented artist who deserves to be heard, and my disappointment might not be yours. Regarding your question about choices, keep in mind that there are many editors, all with different tastes, so choices also stem from this factor; it depends on who is editing, and there’s nothing mathematical about it; in fact, it’s often very random. I truly thank you for the praise you have given me, but I must say that I disagree with you, partly because I don't love rankings, but also because there are (and have been) many very good users on debaser who articulate their proposals well. In general, I don't believe I'm either better or worse, just different like everyone else, and the beauty is that there are so many proposals, indeed different, under one roof.
@ tinybanks: as I said to sfascia, it depends; in fact, these are situations that can be annoying, not that they annoy :) Have a good week.
