I had all day to think about what to say about this album, but aside from the word "awesome," nothing else comes to mind!

(This morning's post) Indeed, Frantz, in a post a few lines above, I was trying to separate the subjective concept of the perception of beauty in a work of art from its historical value, which for me coincides with what you call artistic. ("It would have been different to discuss the historical value of the piety in the history of art compared to the works of marongiu"). In other words, I agree with you, or at least I think so ;) Bye

The point is a very simple question: "who gives value?" For me, ummugumma is better than "the division bell," just as for me "la pietà" is probably a more beautiful work than those of Carmine Marongiu. But it only takes a poor fool to say the opposite for what I believed to be Objective to no longer hold. When it comes to art, this happens; in fact, it’s happening right now (ps: please don't call me a blinded fan, that usually gets on my nerves. And then Nick Cave isn’t even "my favorite artist," another phrase that triggers a helicoidal attack on my testicles). It would have been different to discuss the historical value of la pietà in the history of art compared to the works of Marongiu. Anyway, the fact that you don’t like this album is legitimate for me; the fact that you insist on filling your statement with objectivity is not.

You see, gentleman, I am little concerned about your choice not to authenticate yourself; what matters more to me is to point out that there is nothing objective in this sentence - "the right weight to things, and I don't immediately call a work a masterpiece when it objectively isn't" - your statement is an opinion that holds as much weight as any other, neither more nor less. An opinion, valid in its subjectivity, respectable, deriving from your experiences, sensations, and your way of seeing things, which is different from those of others. The right weight to things is what you've decided for yourself. In short, you express a point of view, which by definition cannot be objective. Bye.

I like this kind of reviews because they allow me to discover music that I have missed along the way; plus, it’s effective, clean: it informs and piques curiosity, in short. But it’s a real shame that these pages have to be sullied by certain words. Yes, in the end, they are just words, but words have meaning and weight. I just want to say, without going on, that this is not – for me – a form of free expression of thought that should be protected.

I’ll tell you, the review deals with a musical genre that doesn't really interest me, it's not my thing, but the cover intrigued me with its comic style. When I saw it, it reminded me of the illustrations that Angelo Stano draws for Dylan Dog, so I did a search on Google and discovered that the author actually comes from the world of comics. I also checked out his website and found it interesting (http://vincelocke.com).
