As for the rest, I'm still waiting for answers, but if you're unable to, that's okay.

"I have already been in government twice with D'Alema," says Diliberto. "I was in government when the war in Kosovo happened, and we, the Italian Communists, were against the bombings of Belgrade. However, we did not leave the government out of a sense of responsibility, to avoid bringing down D'Alema's executive, led by a man of the left" (the fact that D'Alema is a man of the left... that can be debated).

To our Achilles, I have just one thing to say. You are right in saying that I am a poor soul, because I always nurture the hope of being able to engage in dialogue with everyone, when unfortunately you show me that it is not possible. Why didn't you confront each other on the merits of the issues? What was the need to season your arguments in that way? What do you think you will achieve? I reiterate. I find you pathetic. And with this, I truly conclude, my dear.

On pacifism. It has been discussed before. I agree that the pacifist movement tends to be discontinuous and I also recognize that it sometimes tries to be politically harnessed. But at the same time, I know that numerous fragments of the pacifist movement are always active against war, even when there are no mass demonstrations. The latter, on the other hand, are facilitated when events occur that strike public opinion more intensely due to an intense media presence. There is no need to look back in time; even now, at this very moment, somewhere in Africa people are being killed, but the media attention toward these events is marginal compared to the war in Iraq. If there were more media attention toward these matters, perhaps the pacifist movement could mobilize more frequently than it currently does.

Just to differentiate myself from your behaviors (which makes me very happy), I respond on the merits with my opinions: It is true that in 2002 Senator Kerry voted in favor of the congressional resolution that granted Bush the powers to go to war in Iraq. I believe that vote in Congress, still influenced by the September 11 attacks, was wrong, also because it was "tainted" by a series of motivations that over time have proven to be incorrect: the famous weapons of mass destruction. Not to mention the method chosen to conduct the war in a climate of international tension. This highlights one of the many contradictions of the Democratic presidential candidate. Personally, I don't believe that Kerry's election would have changed U.S. foreign policy as much as flipping a coin, but I would have preferred the uncertainty of Kerry to the certainty of Bush.

to Achille, the ignorant one, and Mauro: you are pathetic, do one thing: study and then we’ll talk again in about twenty years, that is when you’ll be done… with this, I conclude my dialogue with you, also because you are not interested. Regards and kisses.

to the ignorant R R E A D A G A I N: "... As for Clinton & Co., I personally did not agree with the warmongering choices of that historical period, even if they were made in a context of international cooperation that is completely absent today. Therefore, I would avoid making a sweeping generalization. On this point, the Italian left (and others) has faced not a few divisions."
