Hi Giov, great to see you around here :))
Alice Viaggio in Italia

The presence of Paolo Fresu, the elegance of Alice, the tracklist of the songs (a blasphemous, Lindbergh, Auschwitz, Don’t teach the children), the review tells me it’s a great album. Marked kuper!

Another thing, I don't feel comfortable sharing the insertion into the classical genre... or maybe I just don't understand it, mah.

I read it and reread it and found it very beautiful, even though I have the faintest idea of the music this group makes (in this regard, a sample would be greatly appreciated). Apparently, this music isn't for me, but you should never trust appearances (come on, send a sample). So what can I say? The only thing that comes to mind is somewhat related to the review and concerns the courage of Ulysses. More than courage, I'd talk about a thirst for knowledge, a desire to unveil the mystery, to discover. Perhaps, then, at the end of the day, "the journey that lies ahead" is not so different at least in approach. Regards.

This came out last Friday, dude, you should still find it at Delogu along with the other one I already told you about (Ethnografie) released in December. If you don't have anything by Fresu, listen to something with guitarist Nguyen Le; it's also really nice "Porgy and Bess" by Gershwin (Gil Evans' version) recorded with the jazz orchestra of Sardinia and David Linx. The cover is beautiful, verizzzimo :)) S.N.!

This morning I briefly listened to it while admiring the beautiful (!!) packaging. A quick, fleeting listen, just a little taste that didn't convince me at the moment to reach into my pockets for the few euros needed for the purchase. Reading the review, it seems to me that more calm and attention are needed to understand the album. Probably a jump-in listen tells little to nothing. Ergo, I will listen again. The review? Well... :)

Popol Vuh? Sure! At one point I got really into it because of Herzog. As for the other question, I can't really answer you, except to say that life is unfair...

the sight of the cover initially led me to skip reading the review, but then I resisted the urge and read: beautiful logic.
