Well, it is true that Garbarek fully reflects the ECM aesthetic; perhaps it's because I feel a very strong connection with the ideas championed by Manfred Eicher, and maybe that leads me to more benevolent assessments, while still acknowledging that not everything that glitters is gold at ECM—sometimes there are indeed proposals that don't stand the test of time. As for albums, it might be that we share some in common, while others we don't, thinking of Laura Pausini and Avril Lavigne, bye :)

Oh, I almost forgot to respond to Punny ... I don’t think I mentioned the intentionality behind the neglect of the review, but you already know that. Bye.

Do you really not appreciate Garbarek Giovanni at all? I, on the other hand, always enjoy listening to him; I have many good memories tied to his music, like I took up the runes, Twelve Moons, and Officium, for example. I believe he has carved out a recognizable role in the European scene, just as his sound is unmistakable. "Manierista" indeed might be a fair assessment, but I don’t see it as an unforgivable flaw. Bye.

I haven't listened to him in ages... too much music perhaps...

As a musician, I know him for his collaboration with Maria Pia De Vito and Rita Marcotulli, good proposal Bisius. This is what I'm looking for. Hi.

Predictable for exposure, yes, but also in terms of content and Punny style, boredom is simply a natural consequence, and it’s not even the first time for what it’s worth. A criticism that’s easy, easy, already written and already chewed elsewhere... I believe the yawns are justified and I hope they are as legitimate as yours, which, however, are outside this discussion; we can talk about that in the appropriate forums, they don’t belong here, do they? As for de gustibus, I think I’ve said multiple times – not just here – that I don’t discuss them. The argumentative method, its fragility, and the neglect of necessary facts for analysis, however, I do. Not everything is reduced to de gustibus, in my opinion; in fact, I spoke of more than just de gustibus. Have a good weekend.

I will read everything on Monday morning; one needs to be well-rested to face such an ostentation of culture, you ragamuffin! ;)) In the meantime, I’m leaving the default provocative 5 :)
