Until yesterday, I knew nothing about this album, when I saw your review that I quickly read. I didn’t stop to comment on it because I had to rush to a store to get this CD. I listened to it last night. Besides the voice, I was struck by the atmosphere of the recordings, the naturalness, in the sounds of a creaking door, the context in short. Thank you for the heads-up.

Thank you for the comment gerontas07, it seems we agree. As for Before the poison, I agree with you, it’s a great album. I’m one of those thousand you mentioned, and I’m also one of the 500 or so who had the privilege of seeing Marianne live last month at her only Italian date. It was a wonderful experience; she was tired and fatigued, but always full of great class in her performances. It's just a pity she didn't sing any Weill pieces... bye :)
