I really liked your way of describing this music, although I've come to think that it might not interest me, even though you never know, I like the inconsistency. Hi Logic :)

Classical/rock fusion "almost never with truly happy outcomes," Lucio, I completely agree. However, I haven't listened to the album in ages; I had recorded it on cassette, I think, but by now...

I've listened to Lament a lot and with great attention in its time; it's a wonderful record. JohnOfPatmos, I highly recommend it, though I won’t hide that I find it emotionally very painful. The emotions evoked by the alternation between silences, the pianissimo, and the crescendos rich in pathos are difficult to control emotionally, at least that’s how I’ve experienced this music. On the other hand, the album of sonatas for viola da gamba and harpsichord by Bach with the wonderful Kim Kashkashian and the divine Jarrett is of a completely different nature. It certainly deserves attention and visibility, but honestly, I prefer the interpretations by Jordi Savall. From Kashkashian, I also recall a beautiful album of music by Bela Bartok (viola and orchestra), which is truly lovely and also on ECM, just to extend the shopping list :)) Let’s hope Hilliard puts on a great concert tonight. Cheers and thanks!

I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but this talk – silence, austere and tormented beauty – reminded me of Lament by Giya Kancheli; as an ECM enthusiast, you might have heard it. Hi :))

Well... I've read several interviews with Davide and it doesn't seem to me that he has anything to do with the League; he struck me as an intelligent person who diligently and clearly follows his artistic path. He also collaborated with Il Parto delle Nuvole Pesanti on their latest album. I've read many praises about this work of his, but unfortunately, I haven't been able to find it. Bye.

I listened to the samples... 30 seconds is always too little to give a judgment, but the impression is of a listening experience that is probably very introspective, not easy, often bordering on silence; in short, interesting.
