Puff and huff... patience... dear El Guevo, you never miss an opportunity to show yourself extremely unpleasant and devoid of the slightest elegance. But I couldn't care less, it's your business. No one is forcing you to read, much less to comment, but if you do, at least put in a little effort, not much. The only ridiculous thing here is your unjustified and reiterated bravado. There wouldn't even be a need to respond to you; I'm doing this really for the last time, and then please don't bore me anymore with your "hot air." Just stick to transparently scoring your ratings as you usually do, for what they’re worth... So where were we... yes, Neil Young... Neil Young went through a very tough time in his life, facing some very difficult trials. Here, we’re not discussing the value (opinionated as always... you're always too sure of your OPINIONS and quite confused about the idea that they coincide with OBJECTIVE VALUES) of his latest album, which I won’t delve into right now. I mainly wanted to refer to the idea (perhaps a bit romantic, I admit) that these images captured him at a moment in his life when he was a different person, images that gift us with an eternally young version of him. An icon of a distant past, indeed. As if the image became a symbol of a moment devoured by time. I might have explained myself poorly, but it seems you're the only one who hasn't understood. I hope it’s clear now, okay? Peace & Love? Do you get it now? Do I need to draw you a little picture? Please, stop.

I share your opinion, Aleka; I also prefer Coldplay, though I’m not tearing my hair out over them either, especially regarding the last album which I found lacking (de gustibus). Here, Gray reminded me of them only on one occasion, but that’s precisely to Gray’s detriment, as he pursued a model of arrangements (a kind of déjà-vu), not exactly Coldplay. I think Gray still remains a good pop musician, whether one likes him or not, as this album can certainly divide opinions among enthusiasts and detractors. That’s why I’d like to know what you think, Bleak, since you’re familiar with him. Personally, I find myself positioned in the middle. For example, I find Giov's analysis agreeable; it alternates good songs with less successful moments, but overall it doesn't convey much to me – a little, yes, zzzzz :) – and some comparisons seemed odd, let’s just say I didn’t quite understand them. I think it’s listenable, but without high expectations, without loading it with meanings it doesn’t possess. As for Rufus Wainwright, I don’t mind Logic, but not everything. In this case, Gray shares a producer with Rufus (I believe), so a listen could be worthwhile, you never know; the samples might be enough, and anyway, I’d rather allocate those 20 euros towards my mortgage without giving it too much thought. Bye :))

And who knows if it might interest you or not, Kosmo; the roads of "de gustibus" are very mysterious :) at least for me, that's for sure. It will mean that to find out, I'll see if I can find a way to let you listen to it as soon as possible, bye ;)

I heard it yesterday morning, I didn't remember the review I found while searching with the magic search engine. It was a distracted and superficial listen, but very beautiful. Sometimes I have the impression that a lot of music tends to resolve into trends or fads, like the whiny low-fi with acoustic colors, but if I like it, what can I do? :))

Still Canada, but this time it doesn't seem worth it much, to me.

I have a bit of difficulty in thinking of a hierarchy among Waits' albums; it depends on the moment. I consider this one essential, while regarding whether it can or cannot synthesize the first Waits, I feel aligned with Primiballi's opinion.

I saw it in the cinema when it came out, a hazy memory, but I had a great time as always with the Coen brothers. I can't remember the soundtrack at all; it seems like a good and interesting assortment, but I guess I can consider it an optional album.
